You feel like England are in control of this run-chase. You feel calm.

Buttler is dancing across the wicket as he tries an innovative (or perhaps not that innovative nowadays) ramp shot over the wicketkeeper's head, but cannot connect and the ball trickles to Chadwick Watson behind the stumps.

Buttler squeezes one out to the leg side for two, then there's a dab and run for a single. This England pair are on the same page when it comes to running between the wickets.

A good over for Williams and West Indies, however. Just seven from it.

England are in a strong position. I like the way they are going about this. They've been chipping away - they don't need to go too big yet.

You're having a mare there, Alan.

Pollard comes in to the attack for his first over of the day. He points and waves as he orchestrates his field. Buttler punches the first ball through point for a couple.

It's wide, it's slow, it's outside leg and Buttler helps it on its way down to the fine leg boundary for four very easy runs. That boundary also brings up the hundred for England. 76 needed from 48 balls.

West Indies with a bit of a spring in their step now. I see some hands out of pockets as Narine does some smart work at backward point...

As I write that, the very next ball there's an atrocious piece of fielding by Kieron Pollard at mid-wicket. Bairstow drags it toward the big man on the boundary, he takes an age to get down and ends up almost diving over the ball.

Two for Buttler, who is batting quite patiently, to a wide long-on.

    Buttler 12, Bairstow 4

Take note Chris Gayle, that's how you run between the wickets as Buttler plays a paddle sweep through to fine leg and England run through for two very quick runs.

Here's a question for you: do England actually bat that deep? Adil Rashid is the next batsman in, a man who has come in at number 11 for the hosts in the past.

You feel the momentum is with West Indies right now but, with 94 needed off 60, all it takes is one or two big overs.

West Indies have got the squeeze on and England aren't going anywhere.

  10. Eng 77-4published at 9 overs

England need 100 off 66 balls

Thanks Matthew. This is intriguingly poised.

The burly figure of Ashley Nurse continues as Bairstow and Buttler exchange a couple of singles and a two.

Then Buttler bisects the field with a glorious drive wide of cover. Beauty of a shot.

John Hamilton: Morgan now has 82 runs in his last 11 T20 innings. How long can this form be ignored?

Now Jonny Bairstow is at the crease. I remember a brilliant white-ball innings by him in a run-chase against New Zealand on this ground and England need something similar.

It's time for me to hand you back to Kal Sajad.

Eoin Morgan hit it straight to the man. He needed to hit it flatter but he lobbed it at perfectly catchable height. He will feel like he has given his wicket away there.

Oh no. It's hard to criticise Eoin Morgan because the reverse sweep is a shot he plays so well but he's just hit the ball straight to backward point off spinner Narine. England have lost three wicket in 12 balls.

Look how pleased Carlos Brathwaite was with the wicket of Alex Hales. It's little wonder. Hales was taking the game away from West Indies.

  17. Eng 68-3published at 7 overs

England need 109 from 78 balls

Jonny Bairstow was due in next on the card but England have sent in Jos Buttler.

West Indies sense this is their time to take wickets and Brathwaite puts Chris Gayle in at slip. Gayle looks pleased with that. Less running in there.

Nurse gets away with a full toss on the final ball as Morgan looks to play himself in.

Joe Root is just trying to hit off-spinner Ashley Nurse into the off-side for one but he mis-times the ball straight to Brathwaite at cover.

It was the Alex Hales show. England have played some fluent and big shots but there's been a couple of wickets for West Indies. Although they're not happy with this wicket.
