I'm happy for Stoneman to partner Alastair Cook. He looked comfortable against the West Indies and South African pace bowlers, had composure abut him and has scored a lot of runs in county cricket. He's had a good summer.

Ian: Moeen Ali is fast becoming a cricketing legend, That was an amazing innings to bat England out of trouble.

Christopher Beck: Absolutely love Moeen. Either dispatches everything in scintillating style or gets out 1st ball. There's no in-between!

Did you miss Moeen's biffery? Have a look at these. It was mostly the Windies serving up a buffet and Moeen heaving it over the leg-side fence.

Most teams will look at this England side and know that to restrict them they have to bowl them out. Like Pakistan did in the Champions Trophy.

Moeen Ali speaking to Sky Sports: "It was good, I enjoyed myself. Everything happened and went my way, thankfully. The ground isn't that big so it's nice to play on it. I just tried to slog it as much as I could. It was good to contribute with the bat.

"Me and Chris Woakes thought we'd take it to 42 overs then play some shots, to give myself time to get in. Once you're in, you can get used to the pitch and the bounce.

"We're going to have to take some early wickets, especially Chris Gayle. It's not going to be easy but early wickets will be key. I am going to have to be on my game and not be in the slot too much."

England have the ability to get out of sticky positions by just striking the ball. It's about 100 or so too many runs for West Indies. They probably could have done with another seamer, instead of Bishoo.

It's a tale of three innings. Root, then Stokes but the star man was Mooen Ali. It's a long shot for the West Indies.

England bat so deep and you just know they will keep going. They will always target 300 minimum so to restrict you need to bowl them out.

Rashid squirts to third man for a single.

Good work from Jerome Taylor, a nice left-footed finish. You don't see many bowlers produce that type of skill. He's quick.

Plunkett run out 9 (Eng 358-9)

When Taylor does get the ball, he nails the yorker and runs out Plunkett with some good footwork. David Willey jams down, the want a single, but Plunkett can't get through before Taylor kicks the ball on to the stumps.
