I do vaguely a recall a cricket match in Neighbours where the Ramsay Street residents ran five off the last ball to win. Think it came off Karl Kennedy’s batting.
England won by 124 runs - take 2-0 lead in series
Moeen hit second-fastest England ODI ton (102 off 57 balls)
Left-hander went from 39 to his century in 14 balls
Root (84) shared in 132-run stand with Stokes (73)
Gayle - run out by Rashid - top-scores for WI with 94
Five wickets for Plunkett, three for Rashid

The biggest of the lot! Full toss sent miles. Moeen has hit six sixes in eight balls.
Incredible hitting. Moeen has taken 36 off his last seven balls.

They are bowling it right into the slot for Moeen Ali. It's the sort of length he is looking for.
Will the Windies learn? They can't keep bowling in Moeen's arc. If they do, they will need a fielder 15 rows back.

There's an episode of Inspector Morse that has Lewis working undercover as part of an Oxford College cricket team. Can't remember if the result of the match was important though.

There's no stopping Moeen now. Keen to avoid disappearing over the leg side, Cummins goes wide of off stump, only to be edge for four. Then the last ball disappears over square leg for another maximum! 25 off the over!

Good striking from Moeen. It is starting to look like England will get 330 plus now, potentially 340.
Eng 289-6
And again! A carbon-copy, this time to bring up Moeen Ali's half-century from only 41 balls. Remember, he arrived in the midst of England losing 3-11.
This is a game from Moeen. Cummins delivers into the slot, Mo wallops it over for a maximum.

Woakes has played the type of innings you don't see often. He's used his brain and is playing old school. He's not come out and just recklessly played his shots. It's been impressive.
Moeen 39, Woakes 25
Jason Holder is six-foot-massive. With a bit of training, he'd make a decent big guy in WWE. How come he doesn't bowl 90mph+? It seems like he's got a bit of pace left in the locker, concealed by the run-up of a man on the treadmill's lowest setting. England are barely wasting an opportunity to score. 325 possible?
Vic Marks
Ex-England spinner on BBC Test Match Special
Moeen has gone from 'promising Mo' to 'good, old Mo' in such a short space of time. He's so modest. He was talking about how he couldn't hit sixes like the other lads in a press conference recently. He'd just hit five sixes in his innings! He's like that - he's so self-effacing.
Yep, it would be. We can keep having free hits until we die if necessary. On the subject of high-stakes fictional cricket, we're getting lots of shouts for Lagaan. I've not seen it, but it sounds tasty. Moeen is feeling it here, giving it some flat-batted humpty at every possible opportunity, while Woakes lofts Jerome Taylor down the ground for a one-bounce four.

Having a difference of opinion here, hope you can help. When a "free hit" is awarded and the bowler sends the "free hit" delivery wide, so another needs to be bowled, would the next delivery be classed as a "free hit" still?

It's so strange to see how close the flats at one end of the ground are to the action. Residents on their balconies are fielding at long-off. You could get a Chris Gayle thwack landing on your sofa. Also, if you live there, what's stopping you disrupting the cricket? "No, I refuse to keep still while the bowler is running in". Chris Woakes looks ready to tickle the gas here. He and Moeen have ridden England through that mini-wobble.
Moeen 30, Woakes 9
Cricket has made plenty of appearances on screen - Sloggers, Outside Edge, that episode of Dad's Army that had the Fred Trueman cameo - but I'm struggling to think of any fictional cricket matches that had high stakes. I mean, is there a cricketing equivalent of Escape To Victory?

Glen: I think Buttler is wasted down the order. Bring him in at two or three and let him do damage there!
Ben Wire: Stuck in the M4 diversion at Newport. TMS keeping us sane. Need Moeen to bat this out.
Now then. I'm told that Ambridge v Darrington is something to do with the Archers, and that it is quite high stakes. Is it true that Darrington arrived in the pub this past Friday?
