  1. WI 20-2published at 4 overs

Marlon Samuels is the new man in.

Watching the replays of that Shai Hope dismissal, it really was an absolute beauty from Woakes. West Indies are in danger early on here. Jake Ball bowls a tidy over, good line and length. Just the one from it.

That was a beautiful delivery from Woakes. And it's a huge edge from Hope. It's the type of delivery that removes a batsman when the bowler has found his pace and rhythm again.

    Hope c Buttler b Woakes 11 (WI 19-2)

Another cracking delivery from Chris Woakes - exactly what it takes to dismiss Shai Hope, who is a solid batsman. Woakes with some subtle movement, off a good length and Hope nicks it behind to Buttler. A terrible review by Hope. UltraEdge just confirmed what we all already knew.

  4. West Indies reviewpublished at 2.5 overs

Hope seems to have edged it behind and is given out. He reviews straight away.

Bowser: England have won this in the first over. Sensational.

This is the 21st time Chris Woakes has bowled the first over for England in ODI cricket, and it's the first time he's taken a wicket in it.

  7. WI 15-1published at 2 overs

    Lewis 5, Hope 7

Jake Ball, in for David Willey, starts off with a loosener which is signalled a wide. A tighter line from Ball, as Hope manages to squeeze it out towards square-leg for two. A good bit of running. I can say with some confidence that it would only have been a single if Gayle was still out there.

That's a beauty from Ball. A back of a length leg-cutter which whistles past Hope's bat. A huge appeal from Ball and Buttler behind the stumps. They decide not to review. UltraEdge shows there was a slight squiggle, but may have been after the ball had passed.

Lewis then whips through mid-wicket for four. Nine from the over.

It's nice to see Chris Woakes back in a bit of form. He needed some overs in the legs. He seems to have got the pace back as well.

  9. WI 6-1published at 1 over

A gift first up for Shai Hope, down the leg side and the West Indies number three clips it through mid-wicket for four. A swing and a miss from Hope to end the over.

    A fine start for England.

You get the feeling that is the wicket England desperately wanted. Gayle is the one person who can hurt England so much in one-day cricket. It was a great delivery.

    Gayle c Root b Woakes 2 (WI 2-1)

Edged and out. England strike early and the danger man is gone. Chris Woakes, finding some early swing, gets one to shape away ever so slightly from Gayle and it's edged to Joe Root at first slip, the England Test captain taking a smart catch to his left

It's a massive opportunity for Jason Roy. He's an incredible player. He has lost form and momentum this year - it's been a stop-start year for him. This is an important moment. He will want to be cementing that place.

So then, we will concentrate on this game, for now. Evin Lewis and Chris Gayle make their way to middle, as do the England fielders and the umpires. Time for some cricket ...

It doesn't look to me like Ben Stokes will play in all three Ashes warm-up games. It's a mis-match and not ideal. He has got to realise, he's not Ben Stokes from Cockermouth who could go in any bar he wanted to. He's Ben Stokes, the global superstar. I'm sure this will be the turning point and I'm sure this will hit him hard.

Sarah Keith-Lucas from BBC Weather on TMS: "It's a lovely day out there. It started out cloudy and murky but sunshine is breaking through and will do for much of the afternoon. It will be warm and muggy. The breeze will pick up later, that will be ahead of the arrival of some rain about 20:00 BST. But expect warm, dry and bright weather for the next seven hours or so."

  18. 'Being out at 2.30am is unprofessional'published at 12:17 British Summer Time 27 September 2017

England coach Trevor Bayliss speaking to Sky Sports about Ben Stokes: "It's a difficult one; no one is trying to brush over anything.

"What he has shown so far, he is a leader in the group when it comes to cricket. There's no denying that. I am sure there will be some investigations going forward but at the moment I am quite happy for him to be vice-captain."

On Stokes and other players reportedly being out at 02:35 BST on Monday: "We'll be looking into that. I've been with teams before where we have had curfews and that doesn't work either.

"The responsibility is on the players - they are adults, they are professionals. The other night, with a few guys being out in the middle of the series, was unprofessional."
