Perera 23, Prasana 2
A boundary! Perera latches onto a Tahir short delivery quickly and pivots on his heels to help the ball down to the boundary. That might have done Morne Morkel a mischief as he tried to stop it. He dived but seemed to go down in installments and landed a bit awkwardly.

Fans of the early finish will be pleased to know Prasanna is practising the wild whack over mid-wicket. The umpires are probably encouraging him.
Target 300
Wayne Parnell will continue and he beats Prasanna with a peach of a delivery that zips past the outside edge. 87mph and Prasanna just prodded loosely at it. There's a bit of arm wafting between Parnell and Morkel, Parnell moving Morkel wide before deciding he wants him back in close, before the bowler rounds off the over with another decent delivery that Prasanna drives at, and misses.

Caiphus: Imran Tahir is the most under-rated bowler around
Perera 16, Prasanna 1
And there goes Prasanna, throwing everything into a straight drive and ending up having to settle for a single. In his mind, that was sailing for six. Oh that would have been an amazing grab from Hashim Amla! They've stuck a slip in for Perera and he tries to reverse sweep and Amla, diving to his left, sticks out a mitt and gets the lightest of touches on the ball.

From memory, Prasanna has one gear - fifth. In fact, make it sixth.

Imran Tahir runs around like he's taken the wicket that's won the tournament for South Africa. Instead, it's probably the wicket which confirms victory in this match.
Gunaratne c Parnell b Tahir 4 (SL 155-6)
Off Tahir goes again as he claims his third scalp. Tahir had just given the ball a bit of extra fizz and Gunaratne was driving, pushing away from his body. He didn't get under the ball and it's sliced up to cover, where Wayne Parnell took a decent grab.

Sri Lanka are dealing almost exclusively in singles at the moment. Ooh, a bit of a misfield from AB! Leaping to his right, he aims a one-handed grab and throw at the bails but ends up flinging the ball out of his hand behind him. He lands on the ground empty handed and a touch bashful.
And here's the second of Tahir's two wickets, as Tharanga falls for 57.
Tahir 6-0-18-2
Ooh, Perera gets himself into a tangle as he comes down the wicket to Tahir. He inside edges onto his pad, the ball then rolling onto his foot, and he ends up half-kicking it away and narrowly avoiding toppling over. Tahir has some supremely-good figures at the moment, they've just not been able to get after him.

Whisper it quietly, but I think AB de Villiers - the ultimate sportsman - is carrying a bit of timber. He's got a belly on him.
Perera 13, Gunaratne 1
Gunaratne does have a one-day century, notched against South Africa in Centurion this year. He gets his first run by guiding Wayne Parnell down to third man, before leaning on his bat at the non-strikers. Perera ends the over with a vicious swipe at Parnell that doesn't beat AB at point.

Ex-England spinner on BBC Test Match Special
A couple of bits of fielding have turned this game for South Africa.
Asela Gunaratne is the new man at the crease, but he's watching Tahir from the safety of the non-strikers. Tahir, his feathers properly ruffled, screeches at the fielder at long-off to catch a delivery that ends up bouncing well in front of him. Gunaratne survives his first ball with a cautious prod forwards. Another cracking over from the spinner.

That's the end of Tharanga and, you could argue, the end of Sri Lanka.
Tharanga c Miller b Tahir 57 (SL 146-5)
Imran Tahir is sprinting off again, which can only mean one thing! Tharanga decides to loft the spinner over the field but he's not timed it well and the ball spoons up off the outside edge. David Miller might be nursing a bit of hamstring pain but he's safely under that one at deep cover.
Graeme Smith
Ex-South Africa captain on BBC Test Match Special
Perera can't hang around too much, you feel he won't take too many dot balls before he goes for the big shot.
