Sri Lanka are tucking into the Wayne Parnell buffet here. All you can eat. When he pitches it up, there's no swing, so it's driveable. When he's short, it's not quick enough. Pullable. Every time the ball hits the boundary, flame throwers shoot fire into the air. They'll run out of fuel at this rate.

It was a see-ball, hit-ball innings. Dickwella has certainly got South Africa rattled.
Morkel 1-0-9-1
Kusal Mendis is the new man. He doesn't hang about either. I'm still gutted that we've lost Niroshan Dickwella. Let's take a minute to reflect on his best bits...

We were saying that Morne Morkel is a good addition to this bowling line-up. Dickwella tried to whack it back over his head and it flew off the edge to third man.
Dickwella c Parnell b Morkel 41 (SL 69-1)
You don't mess with Morne Morkel. The bowling change works and Niroshan Dickwella's fun is over. He picks a battle with the wrong man, trying to launch the big giraffe to Kennington tube station. A thick edge flies to third man and is pouched by Wayne Parnell. It was nice while it lasted.

Sri Lanka are playing this perfectly at the moment.
Kagiso Rabada has been taken off after dropping two catches and getting carted all over London...

Dickwella is a feisty character. I think he was suspended for showing dissent at the umpire's decision in Australia and clashed with Rabada in the series in South Africa.
Dickwella 41, Tharanga 17
Now Tharanga too! A drive through the covers off Parnell, then a pull in front of square for successive boundaries. It's impossible not to enjoy this (unless you're South African). These Sri Lanka openers have been brilliant.

Dickwella looks a million dollars. He's played a couple of cracking shots. He's nipped inside the line and flicked a couple of beauties to the boundary.
Target 300
And again! Wristily whipped off the pads for four. Niroshan Dickwella is illuminating the Champions Trophy with some wonderful strokeplay. South Africa are all over the shop.

South Africa have been very sleepy today, even their batting looked as though it never actually got going.
What is this shot? Dickwella gives himself room, Rabada follows him, so Dickwella leans back and still manages to cut. The limbo shot. Oh, hello! Massive! A wallop towards the gas tower, a massive hit over mid-wicket for six.

If Sri Lanka can get 60 or 70 in the first 10, that will give them a massive boost.
Dickwella 27, Tharanga 8
Niroshan Dickwella is fast becoming one of my favourite cricketers. Not only does he smash it, check out his full name. Dickwella Patabendige Dilantha Niroshan Dickwella. Outstanding. Now Tharanga is in on the act too, pulling Parnell for four with a swivel of the hips. It didn't look this easy for batting earlier today.

I'm excited, I feel like there's something about to go down in this match.
Target 300
It's an eventful over, Dickwella moving about his crease like a man with wheels in his shoes. Rabada oversteps, but the resulting free hit only goes for a single. It's got the air of an upset.

This is going from bad to worse for poor Rabada.
SL 26-0
Dropped again! Another caught and bowled, but this would have been incredible from Kagiso Rabada. Belted back by Niroshan Dickwella, Rabada can only stick out a left hand, about knee height. They either stick or they don't.
