Kumar Sangakkara keeps on ticking here for Surrey as he hits Moeen Ali over the offside infield for four.

Nicely opened the face to that to exploit the gap.

Ben Cox whips off the bails for an attempted stumping as a beauty from Moeen beats his outside edge. Not out the decision as his back foot barely moved.

Tries to smash Moeen over long-on off the last ball, but it drops short of the fielder and that's another single to the Sri Lankan.

  2. Surrey 242-3published at 37 overs

    Sangakkara 58, Foakes 40

John Hastings back on to bowl after his first three overs cost 34 runs. There's little respite on his return as Ben Foakes glances a beautiful shot for four more.

Digs one in short to Kumar Sangakkara, which he pulls away for a single to leg.

  3. Surrey 234-3published at 36 overs

    Sangakkara 56, Foakes 34

Daryl Mitchell's last over sees him comprehensively pulled away for four by Kumar Sangakkara, one bounce over the rope.

Mitchell finishes with figures of 1-59 from his 10 overs. He's played his part in keeping Surrey in check in this innings so far.

  4. Surrey 227-3published at 35 overs

    Sangakkara 50, Foakes 33

Moeen Ali was back on to bowl in that over where Kumar Sangakkara passed 50.

Another tidy over from the England off-spinner with just three runs conceded.

  5. 50 runs

50 for Kumar Sangakkarapublished at 34.4 overs

    Surrey 226-3 (Sangakkara 50, Foakes 32)

Kumar Sangakkara is a joy to watch when in full flow. He has 50 on the board off 55 balls.

Below are the video clips of the two sixes he has hit in his innings alongside a couple of fours.

Three wickets down for Surrey, but if Sangakkara stays at the crease for the foreseeable future the total could be a daunting one.

  6. Surrey 224-3published at 34 overs

    Sangakkara 49, Foakes 31

Four once more from Ben Foakes, off Daryl Mitchell this time, strong pull shot dismissed away to the fence.

The Surrey wicket-keeper is motoring along here and looking in great touch as he works the ball around off the rest of that over.

  8. Surrey 216-3published at 33 overs

    Sangakkara 48, Foakes 24

Some great fielding in the deep by Worcestershire's Ross Whiteley to back up the good work of the bowlers.

Cuts off a certain four for Ben Foakes on the legside with a massive diving stop.

Foakes does get a four at the second attempt though with a lovely drive through extra cover and then the next ball, a similar stroke just a bit wider, gets him four more.

  9. Surrey 204-3published at 32 overs

    Sangakkara 47, Foakes 13

More tight, containing stuff from Daryl Mitchell. Three off that over and Surrey just struggling to break the shackles at this point.

  10. Bye bye Burnspublished at 13:02 British Summer Time 17 June 2017

    Surrey 201-3 (31 overs)

Brett D'Oliveira's fine delivery saw the end of Rory Burns and has slowed the pace somewhat for Surrey.

Worcestershire are fighting back, but with only three wickets down and plenty of time, a mammoth total is still on the cards.

  11. Surrey 201-3published at 31 overs

    Sangakkara 47, Foakes 10

200 up for Surrey but just four singles from Brett D'Oliveira's sixth over.

The leg spinner has 1-27 from this spell so far.

  12. Surrey 197-3published at 30 overs

    Sangakkara 45, Foakes 8

More tidy stuff from Daryl Mitchell with his medium-pacers. His seven overs have yielded 1-41 so far.

Good restricting stuff from Worcestershire to keep Surrey under control.

    20 overs to go.

  13. Surrey 195-3published at 29 overs

    Sangakkara 44, Foakes 7

First boundary in a while for Surrey comes from the bat of Ben Foakes. Nice low pull shot for four off Brett D'Oliveira.

That takes Foakes past 400 runs in this competition this season in nine games.

  14. Surrey 190-3published at 28 overs

    Sangakkara 44, Foakes 2

Another tight over from Daryl Mitchell, just two runs from it.

Surrey 24-2 off the past five overs as the runs have been squeezed by the hosts.

  15. Surrey 188-3published at 27 overs

    Sangakkara 43, Foakes 1

Top over there from Brett D'Oliveira and the home crowd are full of appreciation with some hearty applause.

Ben Foakes is the new man in at five for Surrey and he's off the mark with a single.

Tony Bickley: Decent knock for Jason Roy today. Proving he can bat and perhaps was just unlucky for England!

  17. 'To me that's a brilliant return'published at 12:47 British Summer Time 17 June 2017

Ex-England batter on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra

A good ball from Daryl Mitchell just now to dismiss Jason Roy, he came a little bit wider, just angled it in.

Jason Roy wasn't going for any big shot, I think he lost a bit of balance in the shot which was unfortunate but well done to Roy for finding some form.

To me that's a brilliant return.

  18. wicket

    WICKET Burns (b D'Oliveira) 5published at 26.2 overs

    Surrey 186-3

Two wickets in the space of seven balls for Worcestershire!

Lovely bit of bowling from Brett D'Oliveira bowls Rory Burns with one that turns away from the left-hander after a nicely flighted delivery.

Great work here from the hosts in the past couple of overs.

  19. Surrey 185-2published at 26 overs

    Sangakkara 41, Burns 5

Daryl Mitchell unlucky not to have a second wicket in that over.

Rory Burns is off and running with a streaky outside edge for four down to third man.

  20. wicket

WICKET Roy (lbw b Mitchell) 92published at 25.1 overs

    Surrey 179-2

Big breakthrough for Worcestershire and Jason Roy misses out on a century!

Nice bowling from Daryl Mitchell as he gets a ball to nip back from outside off to the right-hander.

Roy's entertaining innings, that'll no doubt give him some confidence, is done and dusted in 81 balls with 12 fours and a six.

Rory Burns the new man in...
