  1. Worcs 16-1published at 4 overs

    Moeen 14, Fell 2

New Road looks an absolute picture in this roasting mid-summer sunshine today.

A few of the crowd grab an ice cream and why not? But, the home side need to grab the momentum a bit here after losing an early wicket.

Sam Curran concedes just two off his second over.

  2. 'He hasn't quite got going'published at 15:23 British Summer Time 17 June 2017

Ex-England batter on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra

If Daryl Mitchell had seen a few more balls he might have timed that through the mid-off region, but because he hasn't quite got going he was just a fraction slow on it.

It was a good catch quite low.

  3. Worcs 14-1 (target 364)published at 3 overs

    Moeen 13, Fell 1

More sumptuous off-drive action from Moeen Ali with another boundary off Jade Dernbach.

Takes a swing and a miss at an attempted pull shot so just the one run-scoring shot in the over.

  4. 'No problem if no bang bang early on'published at 15:18 British Summer Time 17 June 2017

    Ebony Rainford-Brent
Ex-England batter on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra

This is a good wicket today and Worcestershire know that they have got to chase a decent score but I have no problem if in the first three or four overs there isn't any 'bang bang'.

  5. Worcs 10-1published at 2 overs

    Moeen 9, Fell 1

Tom Fell in early at number three for Worcestershire. The right-hander gets off the mark with a dab down to third man.

Moeen keeps the strike with a single of the final delivery of that wicket-taking over from Sam Curran.

  6. wicket

    WICKET Mitchell (c Foakes b S Curran) 0published at 1.4 overs

    Worcs 8-1

Sam Curran shares the new ball for Surrey with Jade Dernbach. Bit of left and right-arm combo.

It does the trick in just four balls as he finds Daryl Mitchell's outside edge with an attempted drive and that's a perfect start for Surrey.

    Mitchell goes without scoring.

  7. Worcs 8-0 (target 364)published at 1 over

    Moeen 8, Mitchell 0

Three dot balls to begin Jade Dernbach's over and then an elegant back foot cover drive from Moeen Ali for four.

Plays an almost carbon copy of it the very next ball for four more. Eight from the opening over for the hosts.

  8. Back under waypublished at 0.1 overs

    Worcs 0-0 (target 364)

So, here we go. Moeen Ali and Daryl Mitchell opening for Worcestershire as they set about chasing 364 to reach a Lord's final against Nottinghamshire on 1 July.

Jade Dernbach opens the bowling for Surrey.

  9. Another masterclass from Sangakkarapublished at 15:04 British Summer Time 17 June 2017

    Surrey 363-7 (50 overs) v Worcestershire

When Worcestershire said they wanted to see the back of Kumar Sangakkara, it wasn't this shot of him celebrating another 50.

But Surrey's Sri Lankan superstar was chancing his arm after reaching that landmark and perished for a classy 73.

With Jason Roy and Ben Foakes also both making big 50s, Worcestershire have it all to do to surpass the total of 363-7.

We will soon find very shortly if they can do it as the umpires make their way out at New Road for the second innings.

You can follow the action on the BBC website.

  11. Runs, runs and more runspublished at 14:51 British Summer Time 17 June 2017

As if you hadn't seen enough runs in the first half of this second One-Day Cup semi-final...

On a thrilling Friday night run-fest in the first semi-final, Nottinghamshire completed the highest English domestic chase in 50-over competition in their victory over Essex.

    Enjoy.

  12. 'India lose to Pakistan? That is not an option'published at 14:46 British Summer Time 17 June 2017

We have more fabulous cricket for you tomorrow, by way of the final of the Champions Trophy between India and Pakistan.

    Surrey 363-7 (50 overs) v Worcestershire

    Ged Scott
    BBC Sport at New Road

That effort from Surrey today is not the biggest-ever List A total scored against Worcestershire.

That was Sussex's 399-4 in a YB40 league game at Horsham back in 2011.

But, it is the biggest against them in the 54 years since knockout trophy cricket began in England.

Surrey's 363-7 is their fifth-highest ever List A score, but it's seven fewer than Essex got last night, after batting first...and they lost!

    Surrey 363-7 (50 overs) v Worcestershire

So, that's one half of this game done and dusted.

Worcestershire will need 364 to win this one, which if they do it, would be the second-highest run-chase in List A cricket in England, behind of course, last night's epic effort from Notts.

  15. Surrey finish on 363-7published at 50 overs

    T Curran 9, Batty 1

Two fours off the last two Joe Leach balls from Tom Curran take Surrey to 363-7 in their 50 overs.

That's seven short of what Essex posted batting first last night against Nottinghamshire.

It wasn't enough remember as Notts chased it down with three balls to spare. Will it prove enough to book a place at Lord's today?

  16. 'An outstanding piece of fielding'published at 14:21 British Summer Time 17 June 2017

    James Taylor
Ex-England batsman on BBC Test Match Special

That is a phenomenal piece of work from Ross Whiteley.

It was a short ball, Ben Foakes pulled it out to the deep square leg boundary coming back for two, Whiteley picked it up and winged it in as hard as he could and he almost yorked the stumps. He just clips them and Foakes is incredibly unlucky.

    An outstanding piece of fielding.

  17. wicket

WICKET S Curran (hit wicket b Leach) 21published at 49.3 overs

    Surrey 354-7

That's unfortunate for Sam Curran. Not a mode of dismissal you see very often. Hit wicket.

The teenager tried to pull a short ball to leg, but his bat swung through in his momentum as he took a hand off it and sadly clipped the stumps.

  18. wicket

WICKET Foakes (run out) 86published at 49.1 overs

    Surrey 353-6

That's a superb arm there in the deep from Ross Whiteley to run out Ben Foakes.

He went for two runs with a pull shot out to square leg but Whiteley's left-arm throw is on target from the deep to clip one of the stumps at keeper Ben Cox's end, who cleverly leaves it to be a direct hit.

Foakes' fine knock concludes after 70 balls with eight fours and two sixes.

  19. Postpublished at 14:15 British Summer Time 17 June 2017

Last over then. Can Surrey get to 370 and can Ben Foakes get a century?
