Saturday, 1 July at the Home of Cricket will see Surrey face Nottinghamshire in what should be a cracking One-Day Cup final.

There's not long to wait until that game, but there's even less time to wait until your next cricket fix here on BBC Sport.

The small matter of India v Pakistan in the Champions Trophy final takes place from 10:15 BST on Sunday and then the County Championship returns on Monday for its next round.

That's all to come, but for today, thanks for being with us.

Surrey (363-7) beat Worcestershire (210) by 153 runs

Stumps drawn then at a sun-drenched New Road. Worcestershire's 13-year wait to reach a Lord's final goes on.

But, they've got a lot to be optimistic about for the rest of this season with a decent all-round side in contention for promotion from Division Two of the County Championship.

Surrey skipper Gareth Batty is named man of the match for his 5-40 with the ball. His side are very much in contention in all formats this season and they'll fancy their chances at Lord's after finishing runners-up the past two seasons.

  3. 'Final should be an absolute cracker'published at 17:47 British Summer Time 17 June 2017

    James Taylor
Ex-England batsman on BBC Test Match Special

It's nice to see that the final of Nottinghamshire v Surrey is just around the corner and it should be an absolute cracker.

Two very destructive sides with very destructive batting line-ups and lots of internationals on show.

  4. 'Surrey have got almost the complete side'published at 17:44 British Summer Time 17 June 2017

    James Taylor
Ex-England batsman on BBC Test Match Special

Surrey have got almost the complete side, my worry is that if Kumar Sangakkara doesn't score runs they might be in some trouble but they have a well balanced side especially with the ball.

Surrey (363-7) beat Worcestershire (210) by 153 runs

So, not quite the last-over dramatic run-chase of last night at Chelmsford, but still plenty of top cricket on display at New Road.

Both of the sides who finished third in their respective groups will contest the final. The two group winners of Essex and Worcestershire miss out.

  6. SURREY BEAT WORCESTERSHIRE BY 153 RUNSpublished at 33.2 overs
    Breaking

    Surrey 363-7 (50 overs) v Worcestershire 210 (33.2 overs)

There it is. Surrey are heading to Lord's for a third year in a row.

Sam Curran takes the final wicket of Ross Whiteley for 55 as he is caught in the deep by Rory Burns.

Gareth Batty's Surrey side win by 153 runs and will face Nottinghamshire in the final on Saturday, 1 July.

    A comprehensive win.

  7. Worcs 210-9published at 33 overs

    Whiteley 55, Tongue 11

My man Ravi Rampaul is back on to bowl, from the New Road End this time.

All very sedate stuff now as a few more in the crowd head towards the exits and maybe a barbecue for the evening nearby.

I'll stop as I'm making myself hungry just thinking about that...

  8. Worcs 206-9 (target 364)published at 32 overs

    Whiteley 53, Tongue 9

Josh Tongue gets into the run-scoring action with a nicely timed shot through the offside for four off Jade Dernbach.

Worcestershire still fighting here with their last partnership.

  9. 'A really tough call'published at 17:28 British Summer Time 17 June 2017

    Ebony Rainford-Brent
Ex-England batter on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra

Who's the better cricketer out of brothers Sam and Tom Curran?

That's a really tough call. A lot of people say Sam is a better cricketer because I think his batting offers a lot as well as the fact that he swings the ball but there's also grit I see around Tom, a competitiveness.

I think it's going to be more down to themselves over the next two or three years.

It helps having that close relative and a healthy banter.

  10. Worcs 200-9published at 31 overs

    Whiteley 52, Tongue 4

It's 200 up for Worcestershire with some hearty applause to greet it from the home crowd.

I think they'd quite like to watch a few more overs of this in the evening sunshine and who could blame them?

  11. 50 runs

50 for Ross Whiteleypublished at 30 overs

    Worcs 197-9 (Whiteley 50, Tongue 3)

Half-century for Ross Whiteley with a single off Jade Dernbach.

It's come off just 33 balls with three fours and four huge sixes.

  12. 6 runs

Six again from Whiteley!published at 29.5 overs

    Worcs 196-9 (Whiteley 49, Tongue 3)

Another maximum from Ross Whiteley that's almost spectacularly caught by Jason Roy on the rope.

Even he wasn't going to haul that one back in and he does well in fact not to land on top of the covers that have been parked just off the playing area today.

  13. wicket

WICKET Barnard (c Batty b Dernbach) 9published at 29.1 overs

    Worcs 187-9

Wicket time again for Surrey and this time Gareth Batty takes a catch.

Jade Dernbach dismisses Ed Barnard as he picks out the Surrey captain at mid-off.

Dernbach lets out a big roar in celebration with that one.

    Surrey almost there....

  14. 6 runs

Six more from Whiteley!published at 29 overs

    Worcs 187-8 (Whiteley 43, Barnard 9)

Ooh, that's nice! Two sixes in two balls now for Ross Whiteley.

This one is straight down long leg and potentially through someone's windscreen.

    Nice hitting though from Whiteley.

  15. 6 runs

Six from Ross Whiteleypublished at 28.5 overs

    Worcs 180-8 (Whiteley 37, Barnard 9)

Tom Curran, who is in England's T20 squad next week to face South Africa, is back on to bowl at the New Road End.

Ross Whiteley and Ed Barnard work him around for some singles before Whiteley lustily hits him for six over long-off.

  16. Worcs 179-8 (target 364)published at 28 overs

    Whiteley 29, Barnard 6

Jade Dernbach is back on looking to apply brakes of a different kind to this Worcestershire run this season in the One-Day Cup.

Ross Whiteley still fancies a few runs here though and crashes one straight out to the deep cover boundary, but just for a single.

  17. Brake failure brings a chucklepublished at 17:06 British Summer Time 17 June 2017

    Ged Scott
    BBC Sport at New Road

Their side may be heading rapidly towards defeat at New Road, but the Worcestershire supporters can at least still raise a chuckle.

An announcement over the public address system from master of ceremonies Dave Bradley asking that the respective owners of a black Range Rover, whose hand brake had not been correctly applied, and the Fiat Panda, which halted its progress, has just caused great hilarity, not to mention the biggest round of applause of the day.

  18. Worcs 166-8 (target 364)published at 27 overs

    Whiteley 28, Barnard 5

Ed Barnard in at 10 for Worcestershire and he's off and running with a neat sweep for four off Gareth Batty.

Batty has 5-40 off his nine overs.

  19. wicket

WICKET Leach (c Pope b Batty) 7published at 26.1 overs

    Worcs 160-8

It's five wickets for Gareth Batty and Surrey move ever closer to victory!

Joe Leach the latest man to fall as yet another Worcestershire player tries to clear the fence by coming down the track. Ollie Pope takes the catch this time down at long-on.

    Batty now with 5-34.

  20. Worcs 160-7published at 26 overs

    Whiteley 27, Leach 7

Ravi Rampaul trundles in again, reminiscent of many a club cricket seamer no doubt this afternoon around the country.

He looks the sort who'd do a job for you as a captain - bowl all day up the hill and not complain, just be happy to have the ball in his hand.

Sends down a couple of nice inswinging yorkers, but Ross Whiteley wins the battle at the end of the over by hitting a nice drive for four through mid-off.
