  1. WATCH: England opener Taylor removed for 11published at 11:43 British Summer Time 27 June 2017

This just looked out. Plumb - England's star batter is sent on her way.

  2. Eng 34-1published at 8 overs

    Beaumont 9, Knight 5

A huge lbw appeal as Kainat swings one in to pin Beaumont on the crease but umpire Brown says no. One of the vagaries of this match is that we have no DRS. The umpires will be relieved though, any decisions that may be questionable cannot be shown to be incorrect.

  3. WATCH: Beaumont hits a boundarypublished at 11:38 British Summer Time 27 June 2017

  4. Eng 30-1published at 7 overs

    Beaumont 9, Knight 4

A steady over from Asmavia, finding some consistent in swing under the lights. Still gloomy overhead with a fresh breeze. Beaumont tries batting out of her crease but the opener, who made her maiden ODI century against Pakistan last summer, has not fully found her touch yet.

England have got off to a steady start here and will be looking to build on it, but both teams will be relatively happy as Pakistan have the prize wicket of Sarah Taylor.

That's a brilliant shot from Heather Knight. The ball had width, she got her hands to it and it went to the boundary. Always nice to get off the mark like that.

  7. Eng 28-1published at 6 overs

    Beaumont 7, Knight 4

A delightful way to get off the mark for the captain, Knight guiding one from Kainat through the covers to the boundary. Plenty of swing for Kainat but a fifth wide of the innings and no-one is quite sure where she is going to land it, there could be a full toss, a wide or a wicket.

  8. WATCH: Beaumont dropped on first ballpublished at 11:28 British Summer Time 27 June 2017

  9. Eng 23-1published at 5 overs

    Beaumont 7, Knight 0

A firm drive from Beaumont fells Asmavia in her follow through but although the ball goes between the fielders no single is taken and only a wide results from the over.

Heather Knight looked relaxed during the rain delay which delayed the start of this match. Brews all round. Now it's time to get her match head on.

Sarah was playing across the line there, the ball was probably going into leg stump and it's a good decision.

I watched Sarah a lot on Saturday. When she first got into the England team, she was the best extra-cover driver of a cricket ball, but as her career's gone on, she's got more leg-side. She's got to be looking to drive that through mid-on or wide mid-on this early in the innings.

  12. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 3.5 overs

    Taylor lbw b Kainat 11 (Eng 22-1)

Kainat had been all over the place, three successive wides and two full tosses dispatched for four but she gets one spot on with some in swing and traps Taylor on the pad, New Zealand umpire Chris Brown in agreement.

  14. Eng 10-0published at 3 overs

    Taylor 7, 2eaumont 2

An injury for Pakistan, with Bismah Maroof repairs needed (credit to Mark Mitchener for that, if credit is the right word) to her hand. Asmavia makes a speculative lbw appeal against Taylor who is moving across the crease, but West Indian umpire Jacqueline Williams is not impressed.

I looked at the field for that penultimate over in the Pakistan-South Africa game here, which Kainat Imtiaz bowled - and I was surprised they went to pace as they'd been doing well with spin. I wasn't sure about some of the field placings.

    A reminder of today's line-ups.

England: Tammy Beaumont, Sarah Taylor (wk), Heather Knight (capt), Natalie Sciver, Fran Wilson, Danielle Wyatt, Katherine Brunt, Jenny Gunn, Anya Shrubsole, Danielle Hazell, Alex Hartley.

Pakistan: Bibi Nahida, Ayesha Zafar, Javeria Wadood, Bismah Maroof, Syeda Abidi, Asmavia Iqbal, Kainat Imtiaz, Sana Mir (capt), Sidra Nawaz (wk), Nashra Sundhu, Sadia Yousaf

  17. Eng 8-0published at 2 overs

    Taylor 6, Beaumont 1

Kainat Imitaz is the other new ball bowler, scurrying to the crease with a long run-up and low, slingy action. A little swing but plenty of time for the batters.

That was Sarah Taylor at her best. The fielders didn't even move, and it rocketed to the boundary.

That was exactly the same dismissal that Tammy Beaumont got out to against India. The catch wasn't as easy, but Pakistan will be ruing that chance.

After the half hour delay what a start, almost a Diamond Duck as Beaumont drives at a wide one from Asmavia Iqbal and Nain Abidi cannot cling on to her right at slip. A dreamy cover drive from Taylor records the first boundary of the contest.
