James Vince was caught off a no-ball in the third over of Hampshire reply at Bristol and he's making the most of that reprieve, having moved on to 35 off 25 balls against Gloucestershire.

The visitors need 175 from 19 overs for victory after Michael Klinger's unbeaten 101, but have started wel with 59-0 from six.

Thanks Paul. As it stands, we're hoping to resume at 21:15 BST for the Sussex reply.

But, as mentioned, there's some on-off rain swirling across the ground so we may have to wait a little longer.

  3. WATCH: Archer removes Morganpublished at 21:06 British Summer Time 28 July 2017

    Four and out

England one-day captain Eoin Morgan has the star quality to take the game away from any opposition team.

But the Middlesex man didn't last long at Hove, managing just one four before he was the second man to fall victim to the bowling of Jofra Archer.

  4. Sussex to face revised targetpublished at 21:05 British Summer Time 28 July 2017

    Middlesex 136-6 (17.4 overs) v Sussex

The umpires have said that Middlesex's innings is over, so George Scott finishes unbeaten on 38 from 35 balls. Rain has returned, however, so we will give you news of when Sussex's reply will begin, and what their revised target will be, as soon as we have it.

For the second half of the match - assuming there is one - I will hand you to Adam Williams.

  5. 50 runs

50 for Luke Ronchipublished at 21:03 British Summer Time 28 July 2017

I think Luke Ronchi might be striking the ball quite well tonight at Leicester....

The Foxes are 62-0 off 3.5 overs in their seven over innings against Durham.

  6. Ronchi has an early dart for Foxespublished at 20:55 British Summer Time 28 July 2017

Leicestershire wasting no time in their seven-over innings against Durham.

Luke Ronchi has found the boundary a few times already...

  7. Covers coming off at Hovepublished at 20:51 British Summer Time 28 July 2017

    Middlesex 136-6 (17.4 overs) v Sussex

The covers are being dragged off at Hove - but we now seem certain to need the assistance of Messrs Duckworth and Lewis to decide this one. Umpires Bailey and Cook are taking a look and they'll want to finish this game by hook or by crook. Shall we do the remainder of this text commentary in rhyme? No, we shan't.

Incidentally, for anyone who hasn't seen Sussex pace prospect George Garton, here's a photo which illustrates just how much he puts into every delivery.

  8. Foxes start and Hants begin chasepublished at 20:49 British Summer Time 28 July 2017

Cricket continues elsewhere while we await a resumption at Hove.

Leicestershire start their seven overs against Durham while Hampshire have begun their chase of 175 against Gloucestershire at Bristol.

You can hear both of those games on BBC local radio by searching for them in the live coverage options at the top of the page.

  9. Foxes win toss in seven-over affairpublished at 20:43 British Summer Time 28 July 2017

Leicestershire v Durham - start delayed by rain

Set for a start at Leicester, but how much play will they actually get?

  10. And then there were three....published at 20:41 British Summer Time 28 July 2017

Birmingham v Yorkshire - no result

Another one bites the dust. So the Leicestershire v Durham seven-over contest will be the only game in North Group this evening, providing the rain doesn't return at Grace Road.

  11. Middlesex 136-6published at 17.4 overs

Tim Southee is the new Middlesex batsman, but just one more ball is possible, as George Scott takes two to move on to 38 not out, before we're off for rain for the second time. A delay of any length and we are going to lose overs from the game.

  12. wicket

WICKET Higgins (c Garton b Wiese) 31published at 17.3 overs

    Middlesex 134-6

It's raining again at Hove as the Middlesex innings enters the final three overs. David Wiese is the new bowler and his third delivery accounts for Ryan Higgins, who skies a catch to George Garton on the leg-side boundary.

  13. Gloucestershire make 174published at 20:35 British Summer Time 28 July 2017

    Gloucestershire Gladiators 174-5 (19 overs) v Hampshire

Halfway stage at Bristol where the home side have posted a very decent score against Hampshire following a delayed start.

Michael Klinger leads the way with a magnificent unbeaten century. The Australian finishes with 101 off just 58 balls, featuring seven fours and six sixes.

He and Sri Lanka's Thisara Perera (26 not out) added 69 runs in just 24 balls for the sixth wicket.

Spare a thought for Hampshire seamer Chris Wood, his last over cost a whopping 31 runs. Ouch!

  14. WATCH: McCullum caught for 26published at 20:33 British Summer Time 28 July 2017

    The danger man goes

This was a big moment earlier in the game. Brendon McCullum was in majestic form in Middlesex's win over Essex on Thursday, smashing 63 from 28 balls.

But after a brief flurry of big-hitting tonight he was out for 26 to the bowling of Chris Jordan.

  15. Middlesex 132-5published at 17 overs

Chris Jordan is back for Sussex, still only 28 years old, but a player with lots of experience around the world. His first ball is well pitched up but Ryan Higgins slices it away for four. The next one is a wide before Higgins hammers a six over the short mid-wicket boundary. Suddenly the pressure is on the bowlers.

A slower delivery is pulled away to the boundary and there's the 50 partnership by Higgins and George Scott. Two of the younger members of the Middlesex side, they've turned the innings round really well.

  16. 'Bar of soap' timepublished at 20:27 British Summer Time 28 July 2017

    James Taylor
Ex-England batsman on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra

Fielding in these conditions is seriously tough. A skiddy surface with a wet ball, it's like a bar of soap.

  17. Middlesex 116-5published at 16 overs

Two former England Test players doing the umpiring honours at Hove - batsman Rob Bailey and spinner Nick Cook.No doubt they enjoyed the news from The Oval today.

Will Beer starts his second over and is immediately swept away for four by Ryan Higgins. Beer drops short and Garton keeps Middlesex to two as Higgins pulls it away to deep mid-wicket, but the next one finds the gap and it's four more.

This is the kind of impetus Middlesex needed after the rain interruption - 13 from the over and now, maybe 150 is a possibility for the visitors.

  18. 'Brilliant' Middlesex returnpublished at 20:23 British Summer Time 28 July 2017

    Ebony Rainford-Brent
Ex-England batter on BBC Radio 5 live Sports Extra

What a brilliant over there for Middlesex.

Clearly they've had a word in that rain break and said we've got to get on with this.

If they get themselves up to 150, they'll be something in this surface for their bowlers.

  19. Middlesex 103-5published at 15 overs

Ryan Higgins smashes the first ball after the resumption away over the covers for four, then pushes an easy single. What can partner George Scott do? He's managed 18 off 26 balls so far and needs to lift that rate.

No sooner said than done, Garton digs one in and Scott pivots to pull it away behind square for four. The final delivery is even better as he hoists it over the leg-side for six - 16 off the over.

  20. Seven-over thrash on cards at Grace Roadpublished at 20:17 British Summer Time 28 July 2017

Leicestershire v Durham - start delayed by rain
