Barring Jack Leaning's stunning catch, this was probably the moment of the night. Having dismissed Dane Vilas and Jordan Clark in consecutive balls in the final over of the night, Tim Bresnan did this.

It doesn't count as a personal hat-trick, but I'm sure a team hat-trick and four wickets in the closing over to finish with 6-19 suited him fine.

Hampshire have hit form at the perfect time, beating Glamorgan and Kent Spitfires in two days to move top of the South Group. Captain James Vince has starred in both wins - seeing them home with 16 balls to spare this evening.

Sussex Sharks are another side in form, with their win over Gloucestershire moving them into third place, while Essex Eagles move off the bottom by beating Middlesex, who are stuck in sixth place.

That was a huge win for Yorkshire Vikings. Having lost their last three games to drop down the table, they secured their 10th win out of their last 11 T20 home games to move up to third in the North Group.

Meanwhile, Lancashire are sixth and are left needing to win both of their final games to stand a chance of progression to the quarter-finals.

A win for Notts Outlaws over Birmingham Bears sees them in control at the top, but second-placed Northants Steelbacks suffered defeat to Leicestershire Foxes.

Essex Eagles moved off the bottom of South Group after defending a total of 172-9 for their fourth T20 victory of the season. Nathan Sowter picked up 4-23 for Middlesex, but the loss of three wickets for 12 runs in the latter stages of their chase saw them fall short of their target. Eoin Morgan made 37 off 26 balls beore giving a return catch to Ravi Bopara and Ryan Higgins' 23 not out off 10 came to late.

Lancashire skipper Steven Croft made 62 off 46 balls, but his wicket and the dismissal of Jos Buttler turned the game in Yorkshire's favour.

"I think if I'd taken it a little bit deeper we'd have got closer," he told Sky Sports.

"We lost wickets at regular intervals and Yorkshire bowled well at the end.

"We wanted to keep it in our hands. We've got two games left and we've got to win both and hope it goes our way."

Tim Bresnan is pumped up, but after taking 6-19 he's questioning his celebration style.

He told Sky Sports: "The crowd got behind us. I'm knee-sliding. Why am I knee-sliding?!

"That's why you want to play in big games like this - to see if you've got the minerals. I absolutely love it.

"Sometimes the weather does hold you back, but I think the umpires did well to keep us out there."

Yorkshire end a run of three straight defeats with a derby win over their rivals.

Middlesex are trying to chase down a target of 173 to beat Essex Eagles in the one remaining South group game. It's not going to happen - they are 139-7 in the 19th over.

Sussex Sharks climbed two places to third in South group with an ultimately comfortable victory over Gloucestershire. Chris Jordan and George Garton took three wickets each as Glos were bowled out in the 19th over, and although the Sharks wee reduced to 83-5 in reply, Laurie Evans (45*) and David Wiese (20*) put on 56 to see them home with 14 balls remaining.

In-form James Vince hit another half-century as Hampshire chased down their target with 16 balls in hand to move above Glamorgan to the top of South group with victory over Kent Spitfires. Opening partner Calvin Dickinson set them on their way with 51 from only 24 balls and Vince weighed in with 57 before being bowled by Mitch Claydon, an innings including three sixes. Sam Northeast made 59 for the Spitfires, but the defeat was their sixth of the competition.

It's tipping it down at Headingley now, not that they're going off this late in the game.

Steven Patterson sees his last ball - another horrid full toss - vanish miles into the air off the last ball off the bat of Jordan Clark. That gives Lancashire a slim chance, with bowling conditions awful.

Plenty of runs to defend.

Coming in and trying to whack Adil Rashid out of the ground isn't particularly easy. The England legspinner bowls another wonderful over, with no boundaries coming.
