    So, there we have it.

    We started the night with 14 counties having a mathematical chance of reaching the quarter-finals and we finish the evening with five of them getting over the line.

    That has to be one of the most dramatic group stages since the competition began.

    The hosts look well set, but if Middlesex were to sneak the win, it would put them into the quarter-finals at the expense of Somerset.

    Birmingham Bears are through to the quarter-final. Lancashire are out.

    A truly amazing game of cricket.

    The Bears were 145-1 in the 16th over with 19 runs needed before losing seven wickets. In the end Birmingham limp over the line.
