    Lancashire v Birmingham 139-3 (17 overs)

    Here comes Jos Buttler...

A hefty whack by the England man takes him to the verge of a half century.

The Lightning need their superstar Buttler to keep going.

    Northants v Durham 131-2 (12.3 overs)

Durham are going well against Northants but the players are heading off. Graham Clark will be annoyed at the rain. A reminder that at the Ageas Bowl a win for Hampshire guarantees them a home quarter-final while victory for Somerset might see them squeeze into the last eight.

Somerset have a decent opportunity to post a tricky total thanks to Johann Myburgh's earlier 58 from just 29 balls.

Peter Trego (44 not out off 33 balls) is also moving along nicely in the visitors' middle order.

  8. Essex grab another breakthroughpublished at 19:52 British Summer Time 18 August 2017

    Sussex 99-3 (12 overs) v Essex

Another crucial wicket for Essex at Hove as some sharp wicketkeeping from James Foster stumps Sussex captain Ben Brown.

Brown just lost his balance as he tried to pull a wide ball down legside and Foster whipped off the bails in a flash.

  9. Watchful so far from Buttlerpublished at 19:51 British Summer Time 18 August 2017

    Lancashire v Birmingham 107-2 (14 overs)

Jos Buttler is quietly playing himself in but when will the big hitting come?

The England wicket-keeper batsman has 31 from 23 balls with just the one four and one six. Will Buttler hit his destructive best? If so, Lancashire could get up to a very big total but at the moment they're heading for something around 160.

    Derbyshire v Worcestershire 78-5 (11.2 overs)

Alex Hughes is the latest batsman to be dismissed with a lot of pressure now on the shoulders of Wayne Madsen (28*). Birmingham Bears, Leicestershire Foxes, Northamptonshire Steelbacks and Lancashire Lightning are all breathing down the Falcons necks.

Glamorgan v Middlesex - start delayed by rain

Better news coming from Cardiff where the umpires will inspect at 20:00 BST.

    Kent v Surrey 100-3 (10.2 overs)

Surrey and Jason Roy in particular (71 off 38 balls) have been going along great guns at Canterbury.

But, Ben Foakes falls for 13 off Mitchell Calydon as the Spitfires keep themselves in the game.

The winner of this one is guaranteed a quarter-final place remember.

  15. 100 runs

100 up for Durhampublished at 19:42 British Summer Time 18 August 2017

    Northants v Durham 111-1 (10 overs)

Who had Durham down in the 'first team to bring up 100 sweepstake'? No one? The North Group's bottom side have raced to 111-1 at the halfway point. Graham Clark is on the charge. He has 66 from 32 balls as Durham look to end a miserable campaign on a high.

This is obviously also bad news for Northants. With every run scored their task gets even harder as they require a win and a big one at that due to their inferior net run rate.

  16. Two wickets in the over for Essexpublished at 19:41 British Summer Time 18 August 2017

    Sussex 84-2 (9 overs) v Essex

Essex grab a second wicket in quick succession as new man Stiaan van Zyl is caught napping and is run out by a direct hit from Daniel Lawrence.

Didn't face a ball and didn't score a run - thanks for coming!

  17. Leicestershire lose second wicketpublished at 19:38 British Summer Time 18 August 2017

    Notts v Leicestershire 81-2 (9.5 overs)

A second wicket for Notts Outlaws at Trent Bridge. Australian Mark Cosgrove is dismissed by Ish Sodhi for a very tidy 37 from 28 balls. Opener Cameron Delport is still going well at the other end on 27 and is joined by Colin Ackermann who whacks a four from his first ball.

  18. wicket

WICKET Wright (c Ten Doeschate b Bopara) 37published at 19:37 British Summer Time 18 August 2017

    Sussex 84-1 (8.5 overs) v Essex

What a catch from Essex captain Ryan ten Doeschate!

His side needed that breakthrough and it's danger man Luke Wright who goes.

Superb piece of composure by Ten Doeschate on the long-off boundary to first get to a booming drive on the rope and then throw it up in the air and take it on the second grab to make sure he didn't fall over a rope and concede a six.

Definitely one of the best of the season so far.

  19. Nash and Wright continue to tuck inpublished at 19:35 British Summer Time 18 August 2017

    Sussex 81-0 (8 overs) v Essex

Essex's quarter-final hopes may be disappearing here in the opening eight overs.

Chris Nash (44) and Luke Wright (36) are motoring and then some. Both of them are clearing the ropes in frequent fashion.

Essex conceded 221 against Kent at Chelmsford last night and they may well have to chase a similar score tonight.

  20. Solid start for Durhampublished at 19:32 British Summer Time 18 August 2017

    Northants v Durham 66-1 (7 overs)

In Northampton, Durham started well against defending champions Northamptonshire Steelbacks. After losing Keaton Jennings early, Graham Clark has briskly moved into the 30s alongside opener Tom Latham.

Northants are in need of a massive win tonight to improve their net run rate after their fielders spent last night chasing leather at Headingley, courtesy of Adam Lyth's record-breaking knock.
