Should Notts fail to make at least 400 runs in their first innings, then only victory over Sussex would guarantee promotion to Division One.

I just love watching Oliver Hannon-Dalby bowl, I really do.

He just shows the whole chest to the batsman. His shoulders are pointing from extra cover to mid-wicket as he bowls. You cannot get more square on than that, it’s amazing

Kent's Sam Billings has left his team's game against Glamorgan for England duties after the exclusion of Ben Stokes and Alex Hales from selection for the next One-Day International against the West Indies.

That meant Adam Rouse being drafted into the Kent side and shoved straight into action as the home side lost four quick wickets.

Michael Hogan claimed three of them to reach 500 first-class wickets, so Glamorgan were left bowling at a man who had not been in the team at the start of play.
