Yesterday I told you Kalika and I were mavericks. Well, we're going to change our focus games today...

I'll be covering Somerset against Middlesex and the Division Two promotion matches between Worcestershire and Durham and Leicestershire v Northants.

Kalika will take you through Warwickshire against Hampshire and Sussex v Notts.

    • Leaders Worcestershire need a maximum of six points against Durham for promotion
    • Notts require a maximum of 12 points against Sussex to go up
    • In Northants draw or lose, Worcestershire and Notts are promoted

Even though I've just run you through the Division One relegation permutations, there could be a spanner in the works.

Middlesex skipper Adam Voges complained to the match's cricket liaison officer about the state of the Taunton pitch.

Nine wickets fell after tea and 11 of the 13 taken on day one went to the spinners.

It could mean a points deduction for Somerset. We're due to find out more later today, so watch this space.

  9. The permutationspublished at 10:20 British Summer Time 26 September 2017

With Somerset only collecting one batting bonus point, and Yorkshire claiming all three bowling bonus points at champions Essex, it left the relegation scrap with just three teams.

I'm bringing out the bullet points again to explain the terms and conditions of relegation...

    • Somerset MUST beat Middlesex to stand a chance of surviving
    • Middlesex will be safe if they pick up two batting bonus points (score at least 250)
    • Hampshire need a maximum of eight points against Warwickshire to avoid relegation

Basically, a huge amount rests on what happens at Taunton today!
