  1. dropped catch

Beaumont dropped on fivepublished at 5 overs

    Eng 31-1

Caught - and dropped! Would have been a "worldie" catch as Tammy Beaumont drives at left-arm spinner Jess Jonassen's second ball, Ashleigh Gardner dives to her right at mid-off, gets both hands to it - but can't hold on. Beaumont and Taylor scamper their way to a few quick singles.

    Which format suits England best?

I'd probably say the ODI format at the moment. I think they're a bit undercooked in T20 - they've not played an international for 16 months, and I don't think they know what their best team is. But the Australians look stronger in T20 because of the Women's Big Bash League.

  3. Eng 26-1published at 4 overs

    Sarah Taylor in at three.

  4. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 3.5 overs

    Wyatt c Haynes b Schutt 19 (Eng 26-1)

Wyatt's entertaining cameo - 19 from 16 balls - is ended as captain Rachael Haynes, lively in the field so far, takes a diving catch at extra cover.

I remember this ground from 2011, it was the quickest outfield I'd ever played on. I loved it, as you got value for your shots - and I didn't have to run much!

  6. Eng 23-0published at 3 overs

A good crowd in already at Manuka Oval, plenty of children watching in their green and gold as Tammy Beaumont will face for the first time in the match - and after that initial over of spin from Strano, it's going to be Ellyse Perry into the attack. Beaumont dabs a single, Wyatt cuts a four and a single takes her to 18 from 14 balls. Beaumont cracks the ball towards the cover boundary, but a superb five from captain Rachael Haynes keeps it down to three.

Danni Wyatt has been criticised in the past for hitting across the line too much, but she's started well here.

  8. Eng 13-0published at 2 overs

    Wyatt 13, Beaumont 0

Pace bowler Megan Schutt begins proceedings from the other end, coming off a shorter run than she did during the Test - and Wyatt continues to relish her pinch-hitting role, blasting Schutt over her head for four.

Amanda-Jade Wellington is still learning her game in T20 - while Molly Strano is a team-mate of Danni Wyatt at the Melbourne Renegades, and she's made an excellent start to her international career.

  10. Eng 9-0published at 1 over

Danielle Wyatt goes on the attack straight away, looking to hit Strano over the top, it goes just over Ashleigh Gardner who can't get a hand to it at mid-off - then, having misjudged the catch, Gardner holds onto the ball as she steps over the rope, so that's four. Another four crashed through the covers and a single blasted past the diving bowler, England are cooking with gas immediately.

Yep, I hope you've all switched on in Stoke - as Danielle Wyatt is going to open the batting for England, alongside regular opener Tammy Beaumont.

Off-spinner Molly Strano, brought in for this game, will take the new ball.

I'm looking forward to this. While England can't regain the Ashes, there's still the chance to draw level on points in the multi-format series.

It looks like Danni Wyatt is going to open for England.

The pitch looks a beauty for batting. And it's a quick game, T20, when the women play because they get through their overs so much more quickly.

Morning, everyone. Well, the Women's Ashes are gone - but there are still two Twenty20 games before the series is concluded. And when was there any such thing as a dead rubber when England and Australia are involved?

The series has moved to Canberra, with England still capable of winning the T20 series-within-a-series.

Can they take inspiration from the men's rugby union team's (spoiler alert) superb 30-6 victory over the Aussies yesterday? Find out soon - play will be under way in about 20 minutes.
