There are a few times now that Moeen has caught Khawaja in two minds. It kept low and there's some turn for Moeen there, too.
That's the end of Mason Crane's first spell in Test cricket as Moeen Ali returns in his stead.
Oh! He almost gets Khawaja straight away, with a low one that bites a bit. Dreadful footwork from Khawaja, who didn't know whether to go forward or back and ended up doing neither, fortunately seeing the ball spins past his bat and stumps.
Width from Moeen and Khawaja cuts toward third man for three. Warner can't work the final three deliveries away.
Andy, there has never been a Test in Canberra. There have been nine men's one-day internationals at Manuka Oval, eight women's ODIs and five women's Twenty20 internationals.
Don't mention it.

That wasn't far away. You'd expect those ones to carry. Warner just dropped his hands a little bit and dead-batted it.

Frustration for England that it didn't carry to second slip.
Australia haven't raced away but England have also given up too many easy runs - Khawaja the latest beneficiary as Broad goes too full and straight, allowing the number three to clip away for one.
Close! Warner edges one angled across him and it drops just short of Joe Root at second slip. The Aussie opener played that with soft hands - had he gone at it any harder, it would have been a regulation catch for Root.

Some free coaching advice from Shane Warne to Mason Crane on Aussie TV. The great leggie reckons Crane has the ball a bit too deep in his hand and would like to see a gap between the leather and the palm.

Ooh, Crane gets it to turn back into Khawaja and there is a brief cry of 'catch' - but that missed the inside edge and clipped off the pad.
Crane has a notably long run-up for a spinner and has pulled up a couple of times during it so far. He do so again then sends down a rank full toss that is prevented from being clattered away to the fence by a diving James Anderson in close.
Khawaja glaces the last away for one through backward point.

Are there any other countries in the world where a Test series avoids the capital city? Has there ever been a Test played in Canberra?

This outfield is beautiful looking but it actually slows a ball up quite quickly. It was relaid not so long ago. You have to have the right sliding technique when you're fielding here. If it's poor, you're going to come off second best.
Warner 44, Khawaja 23
Broad goes round the wicket to Khawaja and strays too straight, with the number three flicking away for two before working off his hips for one.
Warner, helmet back on, defends the final three balls.
The Aussie par are looking far too comfortable out there for England's liking.
Right, after that spin-twin spell, Stuart Broad is coming back into the fray...

You can see Stuart MacGill has done a lot of work with Mason Crane. There's a similarity in their actions.
Crane is relaxing a bit more and sends down six very tidy deliveries that the Aussies pair can nevertheless nudge around for one or two, here and there.

There's something to love about all of the grounds in Australia, but the SCG might just edge the rest. A mix of tradition and modern slickness. History marked by statues and plaques, sociable gardens at the back of the pavilion. What a cricket ground should be.

Moeen still not giving Warner much on a full-ish length, but the Aussie opener does drive wide of short cover for one.
Khawaja then drives straight to Crane, who is slow to pick up and allows another single.
Warner drives down the ground for one more.

Mason Crane bowled 117 overs in the four warm up games during this tour, and took eight wickets.

Crane would be a bold man to go to his captain and ask for the review. It's not been the worst three overs in history.
