Those catches are so difficult when you are on your way back up in your follow-through and the ball comes around your ankles.

  2. dropped catch

Paine dropped on 10published at 42.3 overs

A very, very tough chance but a chance nonetheless for Plunkett.

Paine drives it straight back at the bowler, it goes low to him and Plunkett can't quite wrap his hand round it.

Francis Edwards: Here come the Mark Wood comments about how he should have been playing, acting like he’s a reverse swing 90mph bowler consistently. He’s been woeful in Tests so far and he’s never been fit enough to sustain pace, LO [limited-overs] cricket is totally different.

Here is Liam Plunkett for the first of his four overs in a row...

  5. Aus 231-5published at 42 overs

Tight line and length from Wood to prevent Paine and Stoinis getting after him, conceding just two singles before a bouncer beats Paine's top edge.

Shot! Wood over-pitches slightly and Paine drives him through the covers for four. A very timely boundary for Australia after a quiet spell.

It will be interesting how Eoin Morgan uses his three pace bowlers here. Plunkett has got four overs left and Wood is bowling the next over.

That means Plunkett will have to bowl four in a row at the end which is really tough at this stage of an innings.

Eoin Morgan continues to rotate his bowlers - here comes Mark Wood again.

The Durham quick has three overs left.

  8. Aus 225-5published at 41 overs

Another solid over from Woakes in this spell, much better than what he was sending down earlier.

Stoinis and Paine are limited to four singles.

Adil Rashid has another fan - the leg-spinner has just signed the forehead of someone in the crowd.

    Anyway, Chris Woakes to continue...

The England spinners have done a good job. Rashid has gone at seven runs an over but he has done a better job than that shows.

In the 2015 World Cup, in the last 10 or 15 overs Australia were so dominant. They had Maxwell and Haddin and if a top order player like Warner or Finch was still there it was carnage.

They were such a hard side to defend against especially with a player like Glenn Maxwell who can score 360 degrees and that is why it was such a surprise not to see him in this squad.

Here we go into the last 10 overs, what can Australia get up to here?

  13. Aus 221-5published at 40 overs

Good response from Rashid, a single and a dot to finish a mixed 10 overs - 73 runs leaked but two vital wickets of Smith and Marsh.

Adil Rashid is on for his final over - some good stuff today but a fair few ropey deliveries too...

The latest example of the latter is a low full toss that Stoinis whacks down the ground and over the rope.

Much better line from Woakes, bowling with a hint of swing too. Just five from the over.

Right, Chris Woakes is back into the fray. He's been a bit ropey today but now has two new batsmen to bowl at...

OK, he also did when opening the bowling, but the hosts are perhaps under more pressure now.

Graham Wright: Why do we pick wicket-takers for ODIs where run rate is important and economical bowlers for Tests where taking wickets is premium?

  19. Aus 207-5published at 38 overs

Here comes Tim Paine, playing his first ODI since 2011.

The keeper taps into the covers to get off the mark, before Stoinis clips into leg for one.

Excellent over from Rashid, holding his nerve after taking a bit of a battering in his previous spell.

That is an excellent breakthrough for England. Back-to-back wickets are crucial to stem the flow of runs.

It was excellent from Eoin Morgan to bring back Adil Rashid who has had a bit of tap today. England have brought back the initiative and momentum.
