    M Marsh b Rashid 50 (Aus 205-5)

Bowled him! The decision to put Adil Rashid back on pays off as the leggie gets one to go straight on and through Mitchell Marsh, knocking back leg stump.

Canny bowling from Rashid, with Marsh looking to give himself room to hit but he played for the spin and it slid through the gate.

A vital wicket for England - two new batsmen in and a chance to strangle the scoring, with the dangerous Marsh out for a fine 50.

Adil Rashid has been expensive but is back on as England look to attack...

    Aus 205-4

Wood again causes Marsh problems again by jumping wide of the crease and angling it in - the all-rounder gets a streaky inside into leg and jogs one.

Serious lift from Wood to new man Stoinis, who plays it well with high hands.

First bad ball from Wood, drifting towards leg and short enough that Stoinis can swivel it round the corner for four. That's the 200 up for Australia.

Here's Marsh on 49...and he gets to his 50 by clipping it into off for one. An impressive knock so far, with Marsh carrying his Test match form into the ODIs. Australia need him to go on and up the rate.

Mark Dawkins: Is this the same Moeen Ali I've been watching over the past two months? Control at one end, decent economy and accuracy, where were you?!

  5. Aus 198-4published at 36 overs

Stoinis works off his pads for one to get off strike, before Marsh does the same.

Two dot balls to finish an excellent over from Moeen. Just two off it and the key wicket of Finch.

Australia were on course to get 300 but that is a timely wicket for England.

Moeen has been outstanding today. He has bowled into the surface and hasn't allowed the batsman to utilise these short straight boundaries.

  7. drinks break

Drinks breakpublished at 05:43 Greenwich Mean Time 14 January 2018

Finch backed a long way to leg the ball before and missed the cut shot, all out of shape for the first time. The second time saw him dismissed.

That signals a pause for drinks as Marcus Stoinis comes to the crease.

Finch played beautifully but that was one of the first times he has lost his shape. He tried to muscle the ball over the mid-wicket boundary.

    It was an excellent innings.

  9. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 35.2 overs

    Finch c Bairstow b Moeen 107 (Aus 196-4)

Huge moment. A terrific knock comes to an end as Aaron Finch tries to pull Moeen Ali into the stands but miscues the shot and picks out Jonny Bairstow in the deep.

Reward for some tight bowling from Moeen and a crucial wicket for England, with the hosts looking to surge away through Finch's power.

Marvellous innings, mind. Full of control and fine shots.

  10. Aus 196-3published at 35 overs

Excellent first over back from Mark Wood. His pace is high from the off and he gets one through onto Marsh's pads by jumping wide of the crease and angling it back in. A brief appeal but that was going over.

A wicked 89mph bouncer last up. Just three from the over.

It looks a really good cricket wicket with bounce and pace.

I don't think England have bowled that well and Australia have controlled proceedings.

Mark Wood is back into the attack.

His first spell was magnificent. How England need more of the same now...

  13. Aus 193-3published at 34 overs

Moeen is offering vital control at the other end, though.

The off-spinner concedes just one off the over, keeping Marsh quiet with five straight dot balls.

Finch has been brilliant. His shot selection, decision-making and execution has been outstanding throughout.

Finch set tone with the first delivery that he hit for four but the thing that has surprised me the most is how controlled he has been.

  15. Aus 192-3published at 33 overs

Marsh and Finch are clearly looking to hit England's spinners out of the attack, the former battering Rashid down the ground for four to cap an expensive over.

100 for Aaron Finchpublished at 05:31 Greenwich Mean Time 14 January 2018

Bang! There it is, Aaron Finch launches Adil Rashid into the stands to bring up his century in emphatic fashion.

That's his ninth ODI hundred. It's taken him 112 balls so not one of his quickest, but it's been tremendously fluent and he's accelerated well.

  18. Aus 179-3published at 32 overs

Finch clips one round the corner to keep the strike on 97.

The opener and Marsh have now put on a vital 100 partnership and are looking to kick on.

  19. Aus 176-3published at 05:27 Greenwich Mean Time 14 January 2018

Moeen slides it down leg, Finch misses out on the sweep and Buttler snaffles it behind.

Huge appeal from the keeper, who cannot believe the umpire isn't interested. England have no review left.

Replays show it flicked the top of the pad through to Buttler though.

  20. Aus 175-3published at 31 overs

Better from Rashid, two dot balls to finish the over.

Australia have decided it's time to attack. England need a wicket to stop the runs.
