Brainless cricket from David Willey. You need to build a little partnership, even if it takes a few balls.

Two in two balls as Willey storms down the wicket, has a wild yahoo, swishes at fresh air and is stumped by a country mile.

Super innings from Malan, 50 from 36 balls with five fours and two sixes but he has swept the 'Big Show' straight to deep square-leg.

Now England send out David Willey, who scored 34 from an over in the warm-up match the other day. There is a mid-pitch mix-up but Malan gets through for his second ODI fifty in only his second match.

Sam Billings has really struggled. He's had a number of leading edges and that one went straight back to Ashton Agar.

  6. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 14.1 overs

    Billings c&b Agar 10 (Eng 122-5)

A little sketchy from Billings and it's the softest of dismissals as a leading edge is chipped back to give Agar a second return catch.

  7. Eng 122-4published at 14 overs

A first boundary for Billings with a thick edge off Richardson. He may not quite have found his touch but he's rapid between the wickets. Meanwhile, on the boundary, the dancers are keeping the crowd entertained between deliveries.

England might be four down but Sam Billings is a fantastic T20 batsman in now. Then they still have David Willey, Adil Rashid and Chris Jordan, who can all hit it.

  9. Eng 113-4published at 13 overs

    Malan 48, Billings 2

Sam Billings is the new batsman and he displays that rarity in T20 cricket, the Boycottian forward-defensive. Only singles from the Stoinis over and England with some work to do. If they maintain their current rate they will get to 174.

We're not going to see anything explosive from Jos Buttler then. That's a soft dismissal.

  11. wicket

    Buttler c Maxwell b Stoinis 5 (Eng 109-4)

It's not to be today for Jos. Stoinis returns and gets him with the slower one that is chipped to mid-off.

England are in a strong position - they'll be looking for 180-190 at the moment and with a blistering finish might even get 200.

Tye pins Malan on the shoulder with a slower ball bouncer. It may have been a slower one but it was still at 129.5k's so it would have smarted quite enough. Malan gives a Paul McCartney-style thumbs-up to signal he is OK but only four singles in the over.

On the TV, they're chatting to Australia wicketkeeper Alex Carey. He's keen to restrict England to 185/190 or less.

Malan thumps Agar over wide long-on for his fifth four to record the England 100. The Middlesex left-hander could soon have a T20 half-century against Australia to go with his Ashes hundred.

I can't believe David Warner agreed to the review. They've wasted that.

  17. Not outpublished at 09:26 Greenwich Mean Time 7 February 2018

Nothing on there and Agar, rather sheepishly, has to continue.

  18. Umpire reviewpublished at 09:25 Greenwich Mean Time 7 February 2018

Agar is convinced Malan has got an edge behind but he is the only Australian who thinks it's out. After some animation he has persuaded Warner to use the review so let's find out.

  19. Eng 96-3published at 10 overs

    Malan 39, Buttler 1

Jos Buttler is the new man, what are we going to see from the big-hitter today? He's safely off the mark with a single and he has 10 overs of the innings remaining.

Eoin Morgan said he wanted to get himself into form through the T20s but he just threw his hands at that one. He was reaching for it too much.
