Martin Guptill does not just have the power, he has the touch too.
It is looking rather ominous for England. They are being very reactive. Australia were outstanding against them and Guptill has been on fire here.
After three from the first three balls, Kane Williamson dances around his crease and drives a delivery for what appears a four until David Willey stops it going to the boundary with a dive.
But Jordan sends down a wide full toss and Williamson gives the delivery what it deserves by guiding it away for four.
Ten off the over.

Glen Young: Just got up, switched on the TV and rarely have I see an England team look more disinterested.
Chris Jordan is coming on to bowl for England. Can he stop this partnership?

A colossal over from Guptill. He is such a beautiful timer of the ball - he keeps his head down and is always engaged in every shot he hits.
This is the dangerous partnership. So controlled from Kane Williamson, so powerful from Martin Guptill.
NZ 99-1
Martin Guptill and Kane Williamson are trying to make a charge but Rashid limits them for three singles off the first three balls. That doesn't last long as Guptill smashes Rashid for two sixes in a row as he moves past 50.
The overs finishes with a single with 16 being taken off it. Worrying times for England.

New Zealand are poised. They have plenty of batting to come - and plenty of destructive batting.
Guptill 43, Williamson 25
Kane Williamson set himself and now pulls his second boundary of the over.
New Zealand motoring again.
I'll hand you over to Mandeep Sanghera to take you through the rest of the innings.
David Willey trots in and gets the slower ball wrong again.
The dangerous Kane Williamson opens his body up and thumps a drive past sub fielder Tom Curran for four. Poor fielding that, he dived over it.

Adil Rashid bowled it right in that slot for Martin Guptill and, on a slow pitch, it's a good option to get down and play it like that.

Adil Rashid was stranging New Zealand in that over, until the big hit from Martin Guptill relieved the pressure.
A shame for England fans.
Boom! First biggie of the day. Martin Guptill weights up Adil Rashid's delivery then smashes it over mid-wicket for six. Rashid not pleased with that one.
The Yorkshire bowling combination continues for England - Liam Plunkett in again.
Slower balls, fuller balls, cutters, New Zealand are finding it difficult to grasp Plunkett - he has more varieties than a box of Fox's biscuits.
Just four off the over and it is 12 balls since New Zealand's last boundary.

The bowlers have had to resort to change-ups as there hasn't really been any deviation. At the moment, the game is in the balance. It will be interesting to see how Kane Williamson will get on as there is a bit of pressure on him.
Spin for England, just seven overs in. It is the bearded Adil Rashid twirling his arm.
The visitors have done well to stop New Zealand's momentum after that early flurry of boundaries.
Great stuff from Rashid, just six singles off his first over.

The pitch seems OK. Liam Plunkett has got the length on this pitch right. He has read it quite well here.
Guptill 28, Williamson 7
Looking back at that Mark Wood chance, he really should have hit the stumps. He was only a couple of yards away and had time to set himself. Poor stuff from the England paceman.
Anyway, Liam Plunkett is dashing in for his first burst and it is a very good start from the Yorkshire right-armer. Three singles and then Kane Williamson strokes the last ball of the over for four. Spoilt it.

Martin Guptill is a beautiful timer of the ball and he has got power to go with that as well.
