This is the over - it has to be.

  3. NZ 257-7published at 47.1

NZ need 28 off 17 balls

That's huge. Mitchell Santner slogs Adil Rashid for a massive six over cow corner. Should he have tossed that up?

  4. NZ 251-7published at 47 overs

NZ need 34 off 18 balls

With two new batsmen, England just need to keep their composure and close this game out now. Tim Southee digs out a Tom Curran yorker which is right up in the block hole.

Excellent death bowling from Curran until his final delivery which Southee lifts over the top fof four.

  5. Not outpublished at 08:39 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February 2018

Tim Southee's foot does not leave the ground and third umpire Rod Tucker decides it's not out.

That is so close! It's a tiny little shuffle back - there's definite movement.

Is Tim Southee in trouble here? Another stumping chance for Jos Buttler off Adil Rashid.

Brilliant from Eoin Morgan. He knows Taylor can clear the ropes and it takes some guts to put the spinner on at this stage.

The gamble pays off for England and Eoin Morgan. Probably the end of New Zealand.

Taylor st Buttler b Rashid 113 (NZ 244-7)

A great call by Eoin Morgan then! Ross Taylor uses his feet down the track to Adil Rashid but he fails to make contact. Jos Buttler has made a couple of errors in this match but not this time as he whips off the bails and Taylor is on his way.

A big call from Eoin Morgan as he takes Ben Stokes out of the attack and replaces him with leg-spinner Adil Rashid.

If Ross Taylor gets out, England win this game - it's that simple. If he doesn't it's New Zealand's for the taking.

  14. 6 runs

    NZ 242-6published at 45 overs

NZ need 43 off 5 overs

Ross Taylor is going to have win this for New Zealand but he looks to be flagging a little, and England are happy to give him the single.

However, Mitchell Santner finally founds the boundary as he whacks a full toss from Tom Curran over cow corner for six. New Zealand rub salt in the wound as an overthrown shy at the stumps allows them to pinch another run off the final ball of the over.

Dubsguy: Oh how we have missed @benstokes38, external!

SimonM: Excellent stuff from Tom Curran. But is an angry Stokes what England have missed. Do we really need that? Really?

  16. NZ 232-6published at 44 overs

NZ need 53 off 6 overs

Some loose stuff from Ben Stokes. His second delivery is a high full toss which Ross Taylor flashes at and the ball races to the boundary through third man. Taylor is unhappy with the height of that delivery and felt it should have been called a no-ball. Mitchell Santner is struggling to get bat on ball with just two runs off six deliveries.

    Too close to call this.

Can someone tell Ben Stokes to stop his dramatic impact? It appears that this rush of wickets is too much for my fiancee who has got up in a huff after my vibrating wicket alerts on the phone ruined her lie-in!

I'd prefer to be the batting side at the moment. You've got a man in on 100 who's seeing the ball like a beach ball. But get Ross Taylor out and it's a completely different game.

  19. NZ 221-6published at 43 overs

    Target 285

A decent over from Tom Curran as he keeps Mitchell Santner pinned back in his crease. Ross Taylor on strike for Ben Stokes' next over. If England can snare the centurion it's surely their game.
