  1. Glamorgan have the upper handpublished at 15:01 British Summer Time 20 April 2018

    Gloucestershire 144-6 (48.4 overs) v Glamorgan

    Nick Webb
    BBC Wales Sport

Gloucestershire have lost two further wickets in the hour since lunch with Glamorgan still holding the upper hand despite the bright sun.

James Bracey fell the ball after lunch on 34 edging the speedy Marchant de Lange to Nick Selman at slip to leave the South African on a hat-trick.

Graeme van Buuren was sixth out lbw to Michael Hogan for 10 with Gloucestershire unable to get a partnership going, and Kieran Noema-Barnett should have fallen early on only for Selman to shell a regulation slip catch off Lukas Carey.

Ryan Higgins with 31 was threatening to guide the home side to respectability.

  2. Dickson and Kuhn show the waypublished at 14:59 British Summer Time 20 April 2018

    Durham 91 v Kent 65-1 (18 overs)

    Adam Whitty
    BBC Radio Kent at Chester-le-Street

The question after the lunch break was: Was it the pitch, the bowlers or the batsman that caused Durham's swift demise for 91 all out?

Well Kent's batsman are suggesting you can count out the pitch.

    Riverside

Sean Dickson and Heino Kuhn - both South African born - have showed patience, composure and determination to reach 65-1. Dickson, in particular, looking partiularly fluent with some superb cover drives and leg glances.

They have recovered well, after losing the wicket of Daniel Bell-Drummond early.

If a Kent batsman can create a profitable partnership, they will set themselves up nicely for victory.

Chris Wood has a few shouts for lbw against new man Ollie Pope, but they looked to be pitching outside leg stump.

Fidel Edwards is storming in from the other end and still finding pace and swing from his distinctive action. Those two wickets have Hampshire on top now.

    WICKET - Elgar (c McManus b Wood) 44published at 14:38 British Summer Time 20 April 2018

    Surrey 114-4 (41.4 overs) v Hampshire

A loose shot from Dean Elgar. The South African has aimed a few drives at outswingers today and hasn't looked convincing.

Chris Wood has persisted with his line and length and receives a reward - Elgar nicking through low to Lewis McManus, who does well to scoop up a catch. Surrey in a spot of bother suddenly.

Essex lose another wicket as Simon Harmer's attempts to launch a bit of a counter-attack down the order is snuffed out.

Tom Bailey grabs a second wicket of the innings as Liam Livingstone clings on to another edge.

All going Lancashire's way so far.

  12. Division Two updatepublished at 14:34 British Summer Time 20 April 2018

Kent have steadied the ship for the time-being against Durham, with Heino Kuhn and Sean Dickson at the crease. It's 29-1.

James Harris has been on the charge for Middlesex. The seamer has taken 3-50 to reduce Derbyshire to 157-6.

As Alex has just relayed, Northants have slipped to 117-6 against Warwickshire.

Gloucestershire are 125-6 with Ryan Higgins (25*) and Kieran Noema-Barnett at the crease against Glamorgan.

Still slow for Sussex, who have Stiaan van Zyl and Luke Wright battling away at Leicestershire. They're 91-3.

  13. 'Careless' batting by Northantspublished at 14:31 British Summer Time 20 April 2018

    Northamptonshire 117-6 (43 overs) v Warwickshire

    Alex Winter
BBC Radio Northampton sport at Wantage Road

Gorgeous day at Wantage Road and on a fairly slow wicket, Northamptonshire would have been hoping to build up a decent total having won the toss.

But they've batted rather carelessly. Four batsmen have been dismissed pulling - Rob Keogh the last, missing a straight ball from Jeetan Patel - and Northants are now in danger of falling well short of what you would think is a competitive total. There hasn't been too much help for the bowlers outside the first hour.

A great shame this morning when Olly Stone went down injured in the warm-up. Seeing him tearing in against his old club would have been quite a sight. Not to be.

    Essex 105-8 (38.4 overs) v Lancashire

    Wickets keep tumbling at Chelmsford.

Essex skipper Ryan ten Doeschate is adjudged leg before to Joe Mennie despite it looking like it may have been slipping down legside.

All sorts of trouble for the defending champions after being put in.

Great captaincy from James Vince. Rory Burns falls into the trap, as he turns Fidel Edwards to Sam Northeast at leg slip, who takes an excellent low catch.

The Surrey skipper falls short of a half-century. Out comes Ben Foakes.

    Essex 94-7 (36.5 overs) v Lancashire

Another wicket for Joe Mennie as Paul Walter finds Dane Vilas in the slip cordon.

Defending champions Essex are sliding towards a low first-innings total at last season's fortress of Chelmsford.

  18. What's it like to face 90mph?published at 14:12 British Summer Time 20 April 2018

It's a question most club cricketers may have wondered, perhaps while walking back from the middle after skying a slow, looping off-spinner.

Thankfully, Derbyshire’s Ben Slater is here to let you know just what you're missing out on.
