Broad strays onto leg stump and Wagner flicks it fine for four.

A well-directed bouncer has Wagner flinching as he takes his eye off it. The ball hits the handle of the bat but drops straight down.

    Wagner ducks under the rest.

England have bowled one yorker in the last hour.

This final day reminds me of the recent Ashes. Every glimmer of hope fills us back up with hope and optimism - only to be further disappointed!

One reason we've had so many bouncers is that there's not been a flicker of reverse swing. It's a grassy outfield, it's autumnal - it won't reverse and it hasn't, really, in the entire match. Because they can't find any movement they're just banging the ball in.

Another bouncer that Sodhi ducks under easily.

Stokes slides the last two down leg and Sodhi leaves well alone.

A pretty poor over from Stokes, who is bowling off a shortened run up due to his back injury.

Big appeal - but there are no reviews left for England.

  6. NZ 243-7published at 110.2 overs

Stokes traps Sodhi on the back foot and it hits the pads. Brief appeal but not out. That was going over.

I wonder what length Stokes will bowl. He's tended to bowl an orthodox length in this match and he's beaten the edge a few times. Judging by the field, he's been asked if he can hit the pitch.

Andy Sykes: Remarkably, there have been 42 managerial sackings in the Premier League and Football League since England last won a Test match.

There's nothing stopping the sun - it's on its way down.

  11. NZ 243-7published at 110 overs

Wagner defends the rest of Broad's over.

The sun has peeped back out from behind a cloud, for a while at least.

Stokes is warming up again - if Root has any plans to bowl his quicker bowlers, he's got to do it now.

  13. Close!published at 109.3 overs

Heart in mouth moment for Ish Sodhi as he fends at a short ball and spoons it just over a diving James Anderson at gully.

Sodhi jogs through for a single.

Even the overs are probably irrelevant now, it's a race against time. It reminds me of that rearranged Test in Antigua at the old Recreation Ground in 2009 when the last pair were together.

And there's nothing you can do about that sun dipping down.

  15. NZ 242-7published at 109 overs

    13 overs left

Wagner plays out the rest of the over - another maiden for Leach.

  16. NZ 242-7published at 108.4 overs

Wagner pads up to one outside off. Brief appeal but nothing going for that one.

  17. NZ 242-7published at 108.3 overs

Leach gets one to turn and kick up out of the rough and into Wagner's hips.

    That's a better length.

The sun is about to reappear from behind some cloud, but we reckon 06:45 BST might be when they can't continue. And before then, they'll have to tell England to take the fast bowlers off.

  20. NZ 242-7published at 108 overs

    14 overs left

Sodhi defends the last into the covers.

England snuck in an extra over before the final hour started so have 14 overs left to get these three wickets. The light might well intervene though.
