Broad looks thoroughly disgruntled and responds with another delivery that just takes off after it pitches and nips past Shadab's bat.

Same delivery, same result.

Faheem Ashraf opens up the face of the bat and once again, the ball goes racing through Jos Buttler and down to the third man boundary. Dom Bess ends the over with a fine diving stop but Stokes and Broad miss the return throw, and Pakistan scamper an extra run.

I don't think that had a lot going for it. I think it was going over leg stump and he has hit it!

The third umpire reckons there's an edge on that, and so he reverses his decision.

Shadab Khan, on 15, survives. There was a spike on the technology just as the ball went past the bat. Ball tracking shows that it would have been umpire's call on the lbw shout.

It skidded down the hill, you kind of lose it, take your eye off the ball and you're waiting for the thud. It hit him on the tender bit, I hope he's alright.

Babar Azam is leaving the field. He gets a round of applause as he departs, still pressing the bag of ice onto his arm. He could barely grip the bat.
