After a great day at Lords yesterday I'm now at the Natural History Museum having a family day. Haven't yet seen the infamous Collapsaurus. (Origin: England. Distribution: Worldwide. Endangered Status: Common) and hope not to see it today.
Richard usually of Sheffield but currently London
Mark Wood opts to leave the final two deliveries of the over.
Mohammad Amir has been swinging his arms around in the deep. He's trotting in towards his captain...

If England get out of this with anything, it will be a miracle.
Shot! Four!
Full and wide from Mohammad Abbas - Sarfraz looks instantly unimpressed behind the stumps - and Mark Wood frees his arms and drives handsomely for a boundary.

Jos Buttler is always walking into a defensive stroke, that's not the best way to play at this level is it?
They haven't even taken the new ball yet and they got him out. Bowling straight on a good length. England batsmen play through the line of the ball and you could drive your car through the gap they leave between bat and pad.
Buttler lbw Abbas 67 (Eng 236-7)
That is very much out.
The technology suggests it would be umpire's call, the ball hitting high up on the stumps, but that just looked out. Buttler had shuffled forward, trying to drive Mohammad Abbas away, and ended up missing the ball.
Not ideal, with the new ball around the corner...
It's gone past the bat as Buttler presses forward...
Eng 236-6

We've got to bat to at least lunch. If they do that they will score about 100 runs as Pakistan will set attacking fields.
Play forwards, you can see that the ball is keeping low so play forwards. Basics.

My colleague has just walked in and asked how the pitch looks.
The answer comes from the next delivery, as Hasna Ali gets a straight ball to stay low and just scuttle underneath Buttler's attempted prod forward. Eesh. A single ends the over.

You would think that the ball may do a bit, it's very muggy today. If England can just survive a few overs and get the ball flying to the fence for the first 10-15 overs then anything is possible.
But if Pakistan play like the team they have looked liked in the first three days they should walk this game.
Buttler 66, Bess 55
Hasan Ali will open the bowling this morning.
Jos Buttler settles himself at the crease, Hasan charges in - and Buttler blocks his first ball back down towards the bowler. Cue round of applause.
The umpires are out there, followed by Jos Buttler, who will resume on 66, and Dom Bess on 55.
England have a slender lead of 56 runs, and there's a new ball just around the corner...
Pakistan batsman Asad Shafiq: "Our bowlers bowled really well and in these conditions, which are not familiar to them. We are hoping that they will get early wickets."
Five minutes until play begins at a grey looking Lord's - it'll be former Pakistan all-rounder Azhar Mahmood to ring the bell today.
Incidentally, if you're after some more cricket, there are eight One-Day Cup matches to choose from over here.
