That's magnificent awareness. They practice that so much. First and foremost you have to take a good catch, then be aware of your feet.

It's absolutely brilliant. Overton has to be aware too, because he was out of position.

    Marsh c Overton b Willey 101 (Aus 296-6)

Jason Roy did indeed get rid of it before he landed over the ropes. Exceptional presence of mind and also a fair bit of strength to get it to Craig Overton, who was a fair distance away, running round from deep mid-wicket.

The soft signal was out and Shaun Marsh knew he was gone, leaving the field before it was even confirmed.

Majestic fielding from Roy and a vital wicket for England. Both centurions gone before they could tee off after reaching the landmark.

  4. Third umpirepublished at 47.2 overs

Oh this is very, very special.

Shaun Marsh tries to launch another shot into the stands, Jason Roy zips round and takes the catch but knows he's just about to land over the rope.

He throws it up and Craig Overton takes the catch.

The third umpire is going to have a look to check but this looked fine.

  5. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 47.1 overs

    Carey c Overton b Willey 6 (Aus 296-5)

That massive over could have put Australia back on track for 330-340 but could this scupper that?

Alex Carey tries to emulate Shaun Marsh by launching it into the stands over mid-wicket but doesn't get hold of it.

Craig Overton runs in and makes no mistake with the catch.

When you're thinking of the World Cup, Australia will be desperate to get Steve Smith in, so Shaun Marsh could end up opening. They won't be far off by then.

100 for Marshpublished at 47 overs

    Aus 296-4

Shaun Marsh muscles it down to wide long-on for two more to move to 95.

Can he pick up his second century of the series with a six?

Oh you bet! Another tremendous blow over mid-wicket sails over the ropes and Marsh reaches three figures.

Just the 25 off the over. That century took Marsh 91 balls.

  8. Aus 288-4published at 46.4 overs

Hmm. It has been a bit of a mixed bag from Adil Rashid today.

He follows up that six by trying to push it across Shaun Marsh but the Aussie cuts it fine away to the fence for four more.

And that's four too! An exquisite drive through extra cover reaches the fence.

    Big over for Australia.

Adil Rashid is on for his last over and starts it with a wide.

He straightens up and is carted into the stands behind mid-wicket by Shaun Marsh.

    What a shot that is.

Watching Buttler's excellent glovework in this series, and given Bairstow's equally excellent form with the bat, it's a nonsense that Buttler doesn't bat seven and keep wicket and Bairstow bat in the top five for the Test team.

  11. Aus 271-4published at 46 overs

Good response to that six by David Willey, tricking Alex Carey with a well-disguised slower ball as it chips up off the splice but lands clear of the field.

Carey hits back too though, bending down to pull off a scoop shot for four, with fine leg up inside the boundary.

I'd like to ask Marais if he felt that was going over the top or there was a bit of bat. He can't have thought it was going down the leg side.

  16. Not outpublished at 45 overs

Unlucky for England. That's judged umpire's call on the wickets, despite a fair old chunk of the ball going on to hit leg stump.

It stays with Marais Erasmus' call but England retain their review.

That's the googly. It was good glovework from Jos Buttler. The googly did for Agar in Cardiff. The amount of players that don't pick Rashid's googly - it baffles so many.
