  1. 'I've never played better'published at 17:53 British Summer Time 24 June 2018

England's Jos Buttler, speaking at the presentation: "We were determined to come out and try and win 5-0. We bowled fantastically well and didn't quite click with the bat. Games where you pull it out of nowhere are extra enjoyable.

"I said to Jake if it's two we'll run, if it's one, we won't. Great guts from him to soak up that pressure and face those balls."

On his own form: "I don't think I've ever played better. It's very enjoyable. We're just trying to keep it going."

  2. 'Jos was outstanding'published at 17:52 British Summer Time 24 June 2018

Eoin Morgan on TMS: "It creates a different dynamic, with character, when one of your world-class players produces something like that.

"We were very poor today and Jos really did pull something special out to get us over the line. It was outstanding.

"He's in control - he's a very cool, calculated customer with a lot of ability. We got a lot out of that watching from the dressing room."

  3. Man of the series - Jos Buttlerpublished at 17:50 British Summer Time 24 June 2018

Not only is Jos Buttler man of the match, he's the man of the series.

And you quite honestly can't quibble with that.

Today, England have beaten Australia 5-0 in a five-match series, and won a World Cup match 6-1.

10-year-old me still can't believe that it's actually happened.

That is as good a one-day innings across any format, across any era... Full credit to Jos Buttler - England have go an incredible cricketer. To go in under that amount of pressure - the game was lost - but he coolly calculated his way back into it. That last hour and a half of batting was as smart as you can get.

    Some Jos Buttler stats:

He finished on 110 not out from 122 deliveries, with 12 fours and one six. It's the first time he's faced 100 balls in an ODI. He didn't hit a six until the 46th over, when he launched Stoinis into the stands to reach his century.

He finishes the series as the fourth highest run-scorer, with 275 runs in five matches and a series average of 137.50.

The pitch was a good one - we probably misread it at the start. When there's something in the pitch, it's a better game. We need something for the bowlers.

A penny for Justin Langer's thoughts. He's up in the dressing room, staring off into the distance, as England celebrate.

There are some positives for his side, though. Billy Stanlake was excellent today.

Some very glum faces up on the Australia balcony.

It has, in all honesty, been a horrible tour for them. And they've got the Twenty20 still to come...

That's a performance from a team high on confidence and having match-winners in the side. There's always someone in the side who you think will get you over the line.

A word for Adil Rashid, who hung around for 47 balls to keep Jos Buttler company, and Jake Ball, who has made the finest one not out that I've seen in a while.

Low scores make for exciting cricket. It's a fantastic knock by Jos Buttler. Australia bowled well, but well played England.
