  1. Aus 38-2published at 3.5 overs

Buzzers! Sloppy from England, Joe Root and David Willey both guilty of dreadful backing up, with Root particularly culpable.

It was a run out chance but the ball missed at the bowler's end and zipped away to the rope.

That's a big wicket. All England players want to see the back of him - he i so dangerous. He has been completely deceived by a slower ball.

    Maxwell b Jordan 10 (Aus 33-2)

Oh my word, what an absolutely glorious slower ball.

It's Steve Harmison against Michael Clarke at Edgbaston in the 2005 Ashes-esque. Just with much less at stake of course.

Chris Jordan absolutely bamboozles Glenn Maxwell with a brilliantly disguised change-up down at 65mph. The Big Show is through the shot a week before it arrives and clatters into his off stump.

That's what Jordan can do in among the dross.

  5. Aus 33-1published at 3.3 overs

Jordan sends down a sharp bumper - it's too short but he's also overstepped so it's a no ball instead of a wide and Maxwell has a free hit...

...which he then batters down the ground for four.

    Loose from Jordan.

Joe Root and Alex Hales were both treading water a little bit. They didn't get anywhere near, but they could have got a bit closer.

  7. Aus 28-1published at 3.2 overs

Maxwell mistimes his hoik over the top, two England fielders run after it but the ball lands in front of them.

Excellent bit of fielding from Adil Rashid - straight over the stumps. Maxwell was just back in his crease.

  9. Not outpublished at 3.1 overs

Glenn Maxwell slides his bat over the line just in time.

  10. Third umpirepublished at 3.1 overs

Chris Jordan is staying on. Can he tighten up?

Glenn Maxwell tries to scamper two but it's a great, flat throw by Adil Rashid.

Jos Buttler takes the bails and we'll have a look upstairs...

Plunkett has been the go-to man for England in the last couple of years.

  12. Aus 24-1published at 3 overs

    Target 222

A terrific over by Liam Plunkett is slightly spoiled by a loose flay by Aaron Finch that sees the ball deflect off the edge through the vacant slip position for four.

  13. Aus 18-1published at 2.3 overs

Glenn Maxwell is the new man in - will his shoulder injury hamper him?

He's off the mark with a single, slicing it off the edge down to third man.

    Short c Moeen b Plunkett 16 (Aus 17-1)

    Breakthrough for England!

Liam Plunkett sends down a slower ball into D'Arcy Short's hips and the Aussie opener tries to work it fine round the corner.

But England have set the trap, with Moeen Ali at short fine leg and perfectly positioned to take a simple catch.

One and done for David Willey, despite going for just four.

Liam Plunkett is into the attack.

This would be the fourth highest chase in T20 history.

  17. Aus 17-0published at 2 overs

    Target 222

Jordan stems the flow with a full ball that is only worked away for a single.

He then bangs down a bouncer and Finch misses out on the pull.

A poor start from Jordan, but excellent from D'Arcy Short.

All the good work by David Willey is unravelling here.

  20. Aus 16-0published at 1.4 overs

Hmm, Jordan pushes it up but can't find any swing and Short batters it away through the covers for four.

    Pressure back on the bowler.
