This outfield is rapid. With these short, straight boundaries, it's going to fly away.

To be honest, I'd almost forgotten Chris Jordan was in the England T20 squad.
The Sussex man is in for just this game, nice work if you can get it.
Ah, it's a forgettable start though - two balls on the pads and Short touches both away fine for two fours.

Ruth Brooksbank: I don't want to rub the Aussie supporters up the wrong way, but if David Warner was playing I think they could chase this down.

David Willey has got a beautiful seam presentation and wrist position.
Target 222
David Willey starts with three dot balls before sliding one down leg to concede a wide.
D'Arcy Short then clips off his pads and Chris Jordan does well, diving to keep it down to two.
Crack! Short clatters it back down the ground but straight into the stumps, picking up just one.
First ball to Aaron Finch, it's an excellent yorker, no run. A tremendous start by Willey.

It won't swing for long but David Willey will certainly swing it.

Another swing and a miss!
D'Arcy Short tries to make a big dent straight away but misses David Willey's first ball with a flay outside off.
And again! Bit of nibble perhaps for Willey has Short missing.

Australia need to make a big dent in this in the first six overs.
Right, Australia openers D'Arcy Short and Aaron Finch are out there, joined by England.
Can the Aussies chase this down and end a miserable tour on a high? Or will England cap off a fine white-ball run against the old foe?
England stand-in coach Paul Farbrace on the 2019 World Cup: "We've got embrace being fave, embrace playing in our own country, and really go with it."

On this pitch, with the batsmen Australia have got, that total's gettable...

England lost a bit of momentum when Alex Hales fell for 49 off 24 balls, dismissed by this bizarre yet brilliant caught and bowled by Marcus Stoinis...
...but Jonny Bairstow hit the final ball for six to propel England to their second-highest ever T20 total of 221-5.
Eoin Morgan promoted himself and hit some nice shots but then tried to get too funky...
...but Alex Hales continued the onslaught...
I think opening with Jos Buttler might just be a good idea.
He put on a stand of 95 with Jason Roy, who made use of this woeful drop by Kane Richardson...
...going on to hit 44 before he fell...
It couldn't last all the way to another century this week though, with Buttler finally falling for 61 off 30 balls...
Jos Buttler on Sky Sports: "I've got a huge amount of trust in my technique and practice. I feel quite clear and calm at the minute. I learn a lot from watching other guys - Kohli, De Villiers in the IPL. I find it fascinating to see why they played certain shots."
Ah yes, the week that Jos Buttler has had.
First of all, there was that majestic ODI century at Old Trafford on Sunday to complete the series whitewash.
Then today, he's broken the record for the fastest T20 fifty by an England batsman, taking just 22 balls to go to the mark.
He hit five sixes in all, here's one of them...

Celia: Wow!! Jos Buttler you’ve had quite a week!! Brilliant!!
Cheers Steph.
England are pretty good at this batting lark. So much so that Joe Root hits 35 off 24 balls, a strike rate of 145.83 and people start chatting about whether he merits a place in this T20 side.
Mad world.
