  1. Ind 49-0published at 8 overs

Shikhar Dhawan aims a straight drive off David Willey, and ends up hustlig an inside edge past the bowler. Dhawan jogs a single instead, before Rohit Sharma flicks the ball nicely over mid-wicket.

England need to go cross-seam because if you keep on with seam-up you're going to get destroyed.

  3. Ind 45-0published at 7 overs

    Target 323

That's a rare slip in the field by Eoin Morgan! A clip off Shikhar Dhawan's legs is chased by the England captain, Morgan slides on his side to grab the ball - and misses! He then falls as he tries to get back to his feet, but somehow recovers enough to stop his side conceding a four.

This isn't great from Mark Wood. Too short, and he's cracked for four by Dhawan.

England's total was their fourth highest in ODIs at Lord's and three of them have been against India.

  5. Ind 34-0published at 6 overs

    Dhawan 22, Rohit 9

Full from David Willey, and Shikhar Dhawan can't time his drive properly. In fact, scratch that. Dhawan's absolutely nailed a flashing square drive, Willey dragging his length back and watching the ball fly past two fielders and into the rope.

England's body language doesn't look great, heads are a bit low and shoulders are drooping a little bit. You've got to get yourselves into this game a little bit, England. I felt a bit like this in Madras when we gave the third new ball to Devon Malcolm and Kapil Dev hit it back over his head for six.

  7. Ind 28-0published at 5 overs

    Target 323

That bit of fielding has done some damage to Jonny Bairstow. He's going off the field, hand held rather awkwardly by his right side. Dawid Malan is coming on as the substitute.

Shikhar Dhawan promptly thwacks another drive up and over cover for four.

I'm not very happy no-one went over to Jonny Bairstow. There should have been a bit of sympathy, he could have broken a finger because that was lambasted at him at extra cover.

  9. ouch!

    Ind 22-0published at 4.2 overs

Hello, four! Too much width on offer from Mark Wood and Shikhar Dhawan is so quick to open up his arms and thrash a cover drive to the boundary.

He tries it again to the next delivery - and oh, that's a stunning stop from Jonny Bairstow at cover! In fact, that's hurt Bairstow. Dhawan threw the kitchen sink into the shot and it's whacked Bairstow flush on the right hand.

India know they have got the gears, they know they can move through them. England will be happy with this though, it's evenly poised.

  11. Ind 18-0published at 4 overs

That's better from David Willey, finding a hint of away swing, although a wide here and there prolong the over a touch.

Meanwhile, for fans of sporting events that last for hours, Rafa Nadal and Novak Djokovic have just completed the second-longest Wimbledon semi-final...

Josh Verrills: That Joe Root shows exactly why he should quit T20s and concentrate on Test and ODI. Building the innings and let others bat around him; in that situation there is no one better.

  13. Ind 16-0published at 3 overs

I like Mark Wood. I get the impression that he's a confidence bowler, though. He's always been fairly upbeat and perky in the past but he sounded really down after England's defeat by Pakistan in the Lord's Test earlier this year.

He's a little bit too full here, though, and Shikhar Dhawan works him neatly away for a couple.

Shocked England have persisted with Mark Wood. Good bloke but he brings nothing to the team. He doesn't contain and doesn't take wickets and seems to drift through the game. If India hammer him I think his international career is dead.

  15. Ind 11-0published at 2 overs

    Target 323

Leggy from David Willey, the ball hovering up by Rohit Sharma's hips, and it's easy for the batsman to tickle it down to fine leg for the first four of the innings.

Shikhar Dhawan's eyes then light up as he's offered a bit of width from Willey, and the ball is promptly tonked through cover and to the boundary.

  18. Ind 2-0published at 1 over

Mark Wood takes a tumble in his follow through - he did that quite a bit at Trent Bridge - but it's a decent over, right up until Wood coughs up a leg side wide.

Extra ball ahoy, and Rohit Sharma pulls it off the toe-end of the bat for a single.

    So, here we go.

Mark Wood will open the bowling for England. India need 323 to win and take an unassailable 2-0 series lead.
