Hmm. Ashwin comes round the wicket to the right-handed Root - it's an easy line for the England captain to play and he knocks it away for one.
Ashwin returns over the wicket to Root but bowls it short and Root punches it superbly off the back foot through the covers for four.

Dawid Malan plays Ashwin late and closer to his body, defending well and tucking off his pads for one.
Keaton Jennings perhaps played that a bit too far in front of his body, whereas other batsmen may have gone back to it or played it later, more under their eyes.
It was still a mighty fine delivery, though, Ashwin finding turn and dip.
