  1. Ind 112-6published at 37 overs

    England need 4 wickets

Edgbaston erupted with that wicket. It's noise you don't often hear at a cricket match. Dawid Malan's face was a picture too.

Stuart Broad is going to bowl from the other end. Hardik Pandya is the new batsman.

Virat Kohli is on strike for the first time this morning.

Dawid Malan will be so relieved.

That bounced at Dinesh Karthik, he tried to open the face and play it down but it flew off the shoulder of the bat.

Malan has caught him! Well done Dawid Malan!

It's a lovely catch, it really is!

That's the hardest one he's had and it says a lot about Malan.

Got him! Well done, Dawid Malan!

It's perfect from Jimmy Anderson. He finds the edge of Karthik's bat again and Malan, who has dropped three catches in this match, takes a very, very good catch at slip.

    What. A. Start.

That leapt at Karthik. There's bounce there too!

Anderson to start. "Oh Jimmy, Jimmy," is being sung already.

Dinesh Karthik on strike. He lets the first ball go by.

    There's swing there.

England bowler Stuart Broad, speaking to TMS: "It's an exciting game and has been a fantastic Test match to be part of. It's not the standard either team wanted to set but it's made it a brilliant game.

"We need to put on as much pressure as we can - it didn't swing as much last night as it did earlier so we're praying for a few more clouds.

"We've got to get Kohli out to win, he showed real class batting with the tail in the first innings, keeping the strike while still being able to score so we've talked about counteracting that.

"We'll put the sweepers back and might leak the odd run but it will take a long time if they have to get it in ones we hope we have five wicket taking balls in us."

India bowler Ishant Sharma, speaking to TMS: "It's pretty even right now. We have lost five wickets but if you're chasing a low total then it's just about getting one or two partnerships and you can chase it down.

"In England, nobody is set, whether you're on 14 or a century."

I think England will win by about 10 or 12 runs, because the bowling side need five balls, India need 120 to 150 balls to win.

India have just enough batting that I think they will do this. It would be great to see them change history and win at Edgbaston for the first time.

At present it is looking pretty bright with some light, high cloud. Not the classic bowling conditions of yesterday afternoon.

The stands are filling up nicely.

There are a lot of enterprising locals on the route to Edgbaston. Plenty are still stood outside their houses, holding signs offering their driveways up for parking. It’s a competitive business, each one trying to undercut the next. I’m not sure it’ll do a roaring trade today.
