You might expect a wicketkeeper to stand up here to Khaka, but Lizelle Lee has stayed far too far back.

You might expect a wicketkeeper to stand up here to Khaka, but Lizelle Lee has stayed far too far back.
A double change in the bowling - it's debutant off-spinner Raisibe Ntozakhe, whose hairstyle is as unusual as her name - sort of like a mohican with a dreadlocked ponytail, but shaved off completely at the sides. Certainly unmistakeable.
Wyatt is off the mark with a single, Sciver rotates the strike, and England are "double Richie Benaud" - 22-2 times two, they're 44-4.
Sciver 8, Wyatt 0
Danielle Wyatt in at number six for England - she has two T20 international centuries to her name since she last played for England on home soil, but she's got nearly 40 overs to bat through today. There's almost a mix-up as Sciver looks rather keen for a single. But Khaka strays with a couple of wides.
Sarah Taylor was next to fall as Ismail picked up a second wicket

These are nervous times for England. I would have bowled first, not least because South Africa's strength is their bowling. There was a smile on Van Niekerk's face at the toss. She was keen to bowl.
Beaumont b Khaka 6 (Eng 39-4)
Another one down! A change in the bowling brings on right-arm seamer Ayabonga Khaka and she strikes with her first ball as Beaumont is bowled!
England in a right pickle here.
Decisions, decisions. South Africa keep going with their opening overs, while Charlotte Edwards and the TMS team face an agonising choice over their lunch orders. Back on the field, Nat Sciver is off the mark with a nudge for four off her pads, while she jams her bat down on one which keeper Lizelle Lee fumbles behind the stumps and that's four more.
Without Tricia Chetty in the side, Lee is more of a stand-in keeper - a regular keeper would have expected to stop that one.

BBC Sport at New Road
Was the World Cup the start of a new era for women's cricket in this country?
New Road isn't full. At best, I'd say half of the seats are taken. Tickets are well priced - a tenner for adults and a quid for kids - but there isn't much around the town of Worcester to let you know this game is on.
Also, England are playing their first game on home soil more than 300 days since that triumph at Lord's. Absence makes the heart grow forgetful?
Ismail 5-1-16-2
Beaumont, batting out of her crease as Ismail enters her fifth over, and she keeps the scoreboard going with an on-driven two.
Should your cricketing interests extend to the county game, you can follow live text and listen to BBC local radio commentary on all today's County Championship games here - Mark Stoneman isn't pressing his case for a Test recall as he's already out for a duck.

There's a lot said, particularly in the men's game, about being positive and playing your shots, but there is a time when you have to recognise that the opening bowlers are bowling well. Shabnim Ismail is small in stature but she gets the ball down there very quickly.
Natalie Sciver doesn't normally come in to face the new ball, but there's pressure on England now.
An intriguing call for the Proteas though - with Ismail and Kapp bowling so well, how long do the opening pair keep going?

That looked out. Heather doesn't look pleased. She might have got an inside edge but, if she didn't, that was stone dead. The England middle order is exposed.
Knight lbw b Kapp 4 (Eng 29-3)
Captain Heather Knight joins Beaumont at the crease - there's an element of versatility about England's middle order. Had the second wicket fallen at 200-2, it might have been the cue for Natalie Sciver or Danni Wyatt to join the onslaught, but at 24-2 it's the right circumstances for the skipper to dig in and rebuild the innings.
But after cracking a four through the covers, Knight joins her team-mates in the hunch as Kapp thuds one into her pads. The skipper does not look happy at all, but the ball-tracker shows the ball crashing into middle stump.

That's a huge wicket for the South Africans, Sarah Taylor has been so prolific against them in the past.
Tammy Beaumont wants to take the attack to the South Africans, but they need to regroup now.
Taylor lbw b Ismail 2 (Eng 24-2)
Another breakthrough for Shabnim Ismail, who pitches the ball up and traps Sarah Taylor lbw cheaply. The Proteas will be cock-a-hoop.

Matthew Atkinson: Why must there always be loud music at every opportunity during a ODI?
You may well ask!
Despite the departure of Jones, there's still no slip in for Kapp as she charges in from the Diglis End. Just a couple of singles added to the score.
(For those of you partially familiar with New Road, the Diglis End is the far end from the pavilion where those legendary cakes can be purchased - I wonder if the TMS team will partake today).
Beaumont 1, Taylor 1
Sarah Taylor, who missed the tour of India, is back in her regular number three slot - it's great to see her back in the side. She's off the mark in a similar manner to Beaumont, inside-edging Ismail past the stumps for a single.

Amy Jones likes the short ball and she went for a pull shot, but it didn't quite get up. She showed what she is capable of, though. You would expect that to bounce a lot higher. She played it on length.
