Credit must go to New Zealand captain Suzie Bates, who recognised pace off the ball was the way to go - and she was rewarded with five wickets for her spinner, Leigh Kasperek.

There was pressure for Lauren Winfield. She is playing for her place in the team, knowing the person who took it from her is at the other end and going well on 60-odd not out. She didn't give herself a chance with the way she played. It's not the easiest wicket to start your innings on.

  16. England all out for 219published at 17:15 British Summer Time 13 July 2018

Well, my first live cricket commentary stint was one that started with England motoring on at 137-2, and ended without them not using up their 50 over allocation.

It's best I nip off now, especially as Marc Higginson is pawing the ground impatiently - and it looks like he's coming in off his long run.

  17. England all out for 219published at 17:13 British Summer Time 13 July 2018

England lost eight wickets for 63 runs, but immense credit has to go to New Zealand and especially Leigh Kasperek, who finished with 5-39 from 9.4 overs.

It started promisingly for England but as soon as Amy Jones went, they collapsed dramatically. There were too many cross-batted shots. New Zealand have got a chance to beat England here but they have to lay the foundations.
