Shot! Stephen Parry is the unfortunate bowler as Guptill lofts him over his head for a maximum. He then trades singles with Daryl Mitchell, who completes the over by belting Parry through the covers for four.

13 from the over and a Lancashire breakthrough is looking further off than ever.

  12. Solid start for Somersetpublished at 14:30 British Summer Time 21 June 2018

    Surrey 459 v Somerset 41-0

It's still a big deficit, but this opening partnership will help to settle a few nerves in the Somerset dressing room.

New ballpublished at 14:10 British Summer Time 21 June 2018

    Worcestershire 247 & 92-0 v Lancashire 130

    Ged Scott
    BBC Sport at New Road

Don’t know what impact the injury to Joe Mennie must have had on the ball, but the umpires appear to have changed it.

And, from the first delivery with the new one, from a new over, Daryl Mitchell has driven Graham Onions to the cover boundary.

  19. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:07 British Summer Time 21 June 2018

    Bresnan b Edwards 35 (Hampshire v Yorkshire 318-8)

Gone! Fidel Edwards gets an early breakthrough for Hampshire with a yorker that leaves only one of Tim Bresnan's stumps still standing.

Time for Jack Brooks to have a bat.

  20. Postpublished at 14:07 British Summer Time 21 June 2018

    Worcestershire 247 & 87-0 v Lancashire 130

Hopefully nothing too serious for Joe Mennie at New Road after he was struck on the head by a Martin Guptill drive...
