100 for Jimmy Adamspublished at 19:50 British Summer Time 21 June 2018

    Hampshire 193-3 v Yorkshire 350

    And there's Jimmy Adams' century.

It's come off 182 balls, including 17 fours, the latest of which ticks him over the 100 mark.

    Well batted.

  10. Postpublished at 19:43 British Summer Time 21 June 2018

    Hampshire 185-3 v Yorkshire 350

Jimmy Adams is four runs off his century and Hampshire are looking in decent nick so far, albeit they could up their run rate slightly.

Meanwhile, Jack Leaning comes into the attack for Yorkshire. Can they make a breakthrough?

  11. Postpublished at 19:31 British Summer Time 21 June 2018

    Northants 282 v Glos 62 & 193-8 (f/o)

Craig Miles is doing his utmost to get Gloucestershire to at least briefly lead in this game.

He's currently on 15 with two boundaries for his trouble, as the visitors trail Northants by 27.

  12. Postpublished at 19:21 British Summer Time 21 June 2018

    Hampshire 163-3 v Yorkshire 350

Things are certainly ticking in Southampton, but just not very fast.

There's been about 200 runs scored today and it's leisurely stuff from Hampshire so far. Do the floodlights change the game in these day-night games? You be the judge.

But perhaps this conservative batting is inspired by yesterday's bowling.

Meanwhile at the Ageas Bowl, play is getting back under way in the final session of day two between Hampshire and Yorkshire.

Now, can we all calm down so I can enjoy my rice cakes? Cheers.

    Noema-Barnett c Rossington b Hutton 0 (Northants 282 v Glos 62 & 172-8 (f/o))

Wow, the wickets are tumbling now.

Brett Hutton bags a sixth wicket as he dispatches Kieran Noema-Barnett for a duck with the New Zealander departing having faced just two balls.

It's not a matter of if but when Northants will win, now. That's three wickets in nine balls.

Ben Duckett dives to catch him from the bowling of Steven Crook and Gloucestershire are in trouble.

    Higgins c Rossington b Hutton 63 (Northants 282 v Glos 62 & 172-6 (f/o))

Dear oh dear, Gloucestershire's fightback might well be over as the 100-run sixth-wicket partnership is over.

Brett Hutton joins his teammate Ben Sanderson in bagging himself a five-wicket haul as he removes Ryan Higgins for 63.

They trail by 48. Northants will be looking to wrap this up tonight the way they're going.

  17. Postpublished at 18:54 British Summer Time 21 June 2018

    Northants 282 v Gloucestershire 62 & 167-5 (f/o)

From spirited second day's play to damage control.

In the other day-night game at Northants, Gloucestershire are setting about repairing a miserable second day.

Gareth Roderick (46*) and Ryan Higgins (63*) have put on a 95-run sixth-wicket partnership and are, as yet, unbeaten.

They still trail Northants by 53 runs, mind you.

  18. Close of play at Grace Roadpublished at 18:53 British Summer Time 21 June 2018

    Leicestershire 427 & 0-1 (1.5 overs) v Middlesex 233

Comfortably Leicestershire's day after adding 74 runs to their overnight score and knocking Middlesex over for 233, leaving Dawid Malan stranded on 78, despite a few dropped catches.

A dramatic passage of play saw Middlesex lose three wickets in four balls after a promising partnership of 80 between Malan and Paul Stirling.

Zak Chappell was the leading wicket taker with 4 for 65 from his 14 overs.

Some consolation for the visitors with James Harris bowling Paul Horton for a duck with his fifth ball to end the day's play, but Middlesex have a mountain to climb tomorrow.

    Hampshire 153-3 v Yorkshire 350

    Thanks Gary.

A well-earned break in Southampton as Hampshire and Yorkshire depart off for tea. Or dinner.

The hosts are keeping things ticking over nicely and that march towards Yorkshire's score of 350 is well under way.

Jimmy Adams is unbeaten on 86 while Tom Alsop's on 21.

Right, with the three Division One day games finished, that's me done.

Jay Freeman is here to see if Hampshire can continue their push towards Yorkshire's 350.

And he may also oversee the conclusion of the Northants Gloucestershire game in Division Two.

I'll be back in the morning. Thanks for your company.
