    Moores c Wheater b Porter 28 (Essex v Notts 312-7)

Essex only need three balls for the breakthrough!

Tom Moores tries to leave a delivery from Jamie Porter, but it tickles the bat and Adam Wheater does the rest behind the stumps.

    It's going to be a wicket-mad day isn't it?

    Worcestershire 247 v Lancashire 86-5

I'm not quite sure what happened at New Road in the final few overs on day one.

Lancashire were going along serenely on 77-0, and then it went mad.

Five wickets fell in double quick time, led by Ed Barnard's brilliant 4-20.

Keaton Jennings (42*) watched it all unfold from the other end, and has a big rebuilding job to do with Dane Vilas this morning...

  3. wicket

    Jacks c Gregory b Davey 15 (Surrey 351-6 v Somerset)

Somerset strike with the second ball of day two!

Will Jacks edges Josh Davey into the safe hands of Lewis Gregory at slip.

Rikki Clarke comes in, still wiping the sleep dirt from his eyes...

    Surrey 351-5 v Somerset

Ollie Pope resumes his innings, 27 runs short of a third century of the season.

The 20-year-old has 541 Championship runs this campaign at an average of 90.16. Not bad, not bad.

Ah, there's been a wicket already...

    Essex v Notts 311-6

    Stuart BroadImage source, Rex Features

Stuart Broad is not in the Nottinghamshire side, but the England paceman was looking pretty chipper this morning.

I wonder what he's doing at Chelmsford? Carrying the drinks?

Anyway, Tom Moore and Luke Fletcher are about to resume batting for Notts...
