Well played Hampshire, they fully deserved this win, 330 on the board in a final was always going to be a tough chase.

It was a brilliant innings from Rilee Rossouw, well supported by Tom Alsop and Sam Northeast.

They have been the form team in the competition out of both groups.

From the moment Heino Kuhn inexplicably ran himself out on 32 for Kent, this game seemed destined in one direction.

Hampshire were immaculate in the field and four run outs in that Kent reply backed that up.

Daniel Bell-Drummond couldn't find a partner to help him play the anchor role, while only one of their middle order big-hitters came off in Sam Billings.

A 40-year wait for victory in a Lord's final goes on for Spitfires.

Sam Billings finds just five runs from the over, turning down singles right, left and centre in a bid to stay on strike.

More than 20 an over is needed now. The game is surely up.

  17. Kent 264-9 (Target: 331)published at 46 overs

    Billings 70, Qayyum 3

With Dale Steyn bowling to Imran Qayyum, the first three balls of the over are dot balls, much to the frustration of Sam Billings as he waits down at the other end, making that decision to take a single at the end of the previous over look even stranger.

Qayyum finds a single off the fourth ball, but then Billings can only find a single from the following two deliveries. It's slim pickings.

It's a fine over from Steyn, with just two runs taken from it, with only four more overs to come.

The required run rate is now 16.75 an over and Hampshire are surely the champions in waiting.

  18. Kent 262-9 (Target: 331)published at 45 overs

Gareth Berg bowls well as Hampshire try to keep Imran Qayyum on strike as much as possible, limiting Sam Billings to singles.

Somewhat surprisingly, Kent take another single off the final ball of the over, to leave Qayyum on strike again at the start of the next.

    Here comes Dale Steyn again...
