  1. Kent 36-0 (Target: 331)published at 6 overs

Dale Steyn continues to probe and very nearly sneaks one through Heino Kuhn's defence, but the batsman just about gets enough of an inside edge on it to deflect the ball away.

And then Daniel Bell-Drummond shows his class, sending another lovely leg-drive through midwicket for four.

  2. Kent 30-0 (Target: 331)published at 5 overs

    Bell-Drummond 6, Kuhn 19

The bowler gathers himself well after that, though, and limits the Kent opening pair to just two more singles from his remaining three balls.

  3. 6 runs

    Take that!published at 4.3 overs

    Kent 28-0 (Target: 331)

Chris Wood pays the heaviest of prices for overstepping, as Heino Kuhn absolutely clobbers the resulting free hit over cow corner for six.

It made a proper satisfying ping of the bat, that one.

Speaking of Heino Kuhn, the South African batsman has spearheaded Kent's powerful top order and is the leading run-scorer in this season's One-Day Cup.

He has scored four centuries in his past five innings in the competition, including a match-winning 127 against Worcestershire in their semi-final win at New Road.

  5. Kent 18-0 (Target: 331)published at 4 overs

Dale Steyn is really charging in here and already looking the most threatening of the quicks that have been on display today, with the penultimate ball of the over jagging back in and striking Heino Kuhn on the torso.

Just one run comes from the over.

  6. Kent 17-0 (Target: 331)published at 3 overs

But that's a good comeback over from Chris Wood, conceding just the one single off his second set of six.

  7. Kent 16-0 (Target: 331)published at 2 overs

If Hampshire's powerplay was a little on the cagey side, Kent's has been anything but so far.

Daniel Bell-Drummond gets off the mark with another belting drive to the boundary, before Heino Kuhn ends the over with his second four of the innings.

Dale Steyn didn't have the best start to his One-Day Cup adventure with Hampshire earlier this month.

His bowling figures from his first match against Somerset read 10-0-80-1.

But the South Africa pace bowler performed much better in their semi-final win, taking 1-34 off seven overs against Yorkshire.

He's not one to shy away from the big occasion and, if he gets it right, he could leave Kent in a lot of trouble.

  9. Kent 6-0 (Target: 331)published at 1 over

In-form opener Heino Kuhn gets off the mark with a beautiful leg drive as Kent are very much up and running.

Hats off to Sam Northeast who walked out to boos from the Kent faithful has managed to be the man at the end to take Hampshire through to a very competitive total.

Kent are going to have to break a record and a lot will rest on Heino Kuhn and Joe Denly.

Hampshire might be slightly disappointed with their total in the end - but I think that they'd have taken that at the start of the day.

  18. Kent wrestle back momentum in latter stagespublished at 14:42 British Summer Time 30 June 2018

    Hampshire post 330-7

    Adam Williams
    BBC Sport at Lord’s

You feel Kent will head to the break the happier of the two sides, a strange thing to say when they’ve been set 331 to win a Lord’s final, which will be a record chase should they get them.

But Hampshire were cruising towards something approaching 400 at the 30-over stage of their innings with Rilee Rossouw plundering boundaries for fun.

Joe Denly’s 4-57 may not be what he is primarily in the Kent side for, but it could end up being a match-winning contribution.

Hampshire could only add 68-5 in their final 10 overs. Will that momentum carry on in Kent’s favour when we resume?

  19. Hampshire post record score for Lord's finalpublished at 14:41 British Summer Time 30 June 2018

    Hampshire post 330-7

Hampshire's score of 330 is the highest ever in a Lord's final. A new record. Bravo.

  20. Hampshire 330-7published at 50 overs

    Northeast 75, Steyn 1

Kent's Matt Henry does well in the field to save two runs, which could be very valuable.

But with the final ball of the innings, Sam Northeast creatively clips one away for four runs beyond deep fine leg. There's no stopping that one. The total is 330-7 for Hampshire.
