  1. Loughborough 56-4 - target 184published at 9 overs

    Elwiss 17, Adams 5

Georgia Adams fails to make clean contact to a Sophia Dunkley full toss and can only pick up a single.

She drives down the ground to end the over, but again it's only one.

If I was Nat Sciver, I'd be finding it very hard not to hum 'Georgia on my mind' to myself with Elwiss and Adams together at the crease.

  2. Loughborough 51-4 - target 184published at 8 overs

    Elwiss 15, Adams 1

You have to wonder where the big overs are going to come from that will get Loughborough Lightning back into this game.

Surrey skipper Nat Sciver comes on for her opener and it's a good one until she send down a full-toss from the final delivery which Georgia Elwiss swings away for a boundary to take the total past 50.

  3. Loughborough 43-4 - target 184published at 7 overs

    Elwiss 9, Adams 0

Georgia Elwiss collects two, then a single, but Georgia Adams can make nothing of Sophia Dunkley's final delivery.

Loughborough need 141 off 13 overs - that's an order so tall, it could almost have been placed by Curtly Ambrose.

What Surrey Stars have done well is just keeping it very simple by bowling in good areas and trying to make the batters do something .

    Haynes c Lee b Dunkley 17 (Loughborough 40-4)

Perhaps Sophia Dunkley will be more to Rachael Haynes' liking. It looks like it as she lofts her opening delivery over mid-wicket for a one-bounce four.

She attempts something equally assertive from the next, but it skews off the outside edge and it's an easy catch for Lizelle Lee.

Georgia Adams is next - the daughter of former Sussex skipper Chris.

  6. Loughborough 36-3 - target 184published at 6 overs

    Haynes 13, Elwiss 6

Superb timing by Georgia Elwiss brings her four through mid-wicket at the start of a new Marizanne Kapp over.

Partner Rachael Haynes, though, is struggling to provide a healthy tempo and Loughborough can't afford that - just 13 off 18 balls so far and the required rate is up to 10.5 an over.

  7. Loughborough 29-3 - target 184published at 5 overs

    Haynes 12, Elwiss 1

Skipper Georgia Elwiss is the new Lightning batter - and she can't be happy with the way her top order have approached this run-chase.

A flick to mid-wicket brings her one, but Rachael Haynes can't pierce the leg-side field from Laura Marsh's next delivery.

Only three from the over. Surrey well on top at the moment.

  8. wicket

    WICKET Loughborough 26-3 - target 184published at 4 overs

    Haynes 11, Villani 2

Surrey seamer Marizanne Kapp has a really good action and it almost brings her a wicket as Rachael Haynes miscues, but the ball falls short of mid-on.

Loughborough, though, self-destruct again as Elyse Villani gives herself room to the final delivery of the over and is bowled.

  9. Loughborough 23-2 - target 184published at 3 overs

    Haynes 11, Villani 1

Elyse Villani attempts to reverse sweep the first ball she faces and is very lucky that it misses the stumps as she fails to make contact.

Two orthodox sweeps follow and she makes contact with the second to collect a single.

Loughborough need someone to steady the ship, Maybe Rachael Haynes is the player to do it, and she ends the over with a welcome boundary.

  10. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 2.2 overs

    Jones b van Niekerk 5 (Loughborough 18-2)

Here comes leg-spinner Dane van Niekerk and there goes the ball as Amy Jones hammers it back over the bowler's head for four.

She looks to force the next one away square but it's far too close to her and hits the top of off stump.

Major error of judgement in the overall context of the match.

  11. Loughborough 14-1 - target 184published at 2 overs

    Haynes 7, Jones 1

England's Amy Jones is the new batter and she is off the mark straight away with a single.

There's another big lbw shout against Rachael Haynes to end the over, but a bit of late inswing meant it was just missing leg stump.

  12. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:38 British Summer Time 27 August 2018

Devine lbw Kapp 5 (Loughborough 13-1)

Sophie Devine doesn't make the most of her let-off as the very next ball in angled into her pads and she is gone, leg before. That's a big blow to Loughborough's chances.

  13. dropped catch

Lucky escape for Devinepublished at 1.1 overs

Marizanne Kapp comes up to bowl and Sophie Devine throws the kitchen sink at a wide one. Eva Gray makes a diving attempt on the boundary but she can't cling on and it goes for four.

  14. Loughborough 9-0 - target 184published at 1 over

    Haynes 7, Devine 1

It's Laura Marsh to open the bowling for Surrey Stars, as she did in the semi-final, but her second delivery is cracked away square for four by Rachael Haynes.

    A leg-before appeal follows against the left-hander but it's drifting down leg-side.

Loughborough needed to score at 9.20 runs per over at the start of their innings - and they're almost up with that in the opener.

  15. 'Loughborough have the players to chase this total'published at 17:33 British Summer Time 27 August 2018

    Lydia Greenway
Ex-England batter on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra

I think Loughborough Lightning have a chance - these sorts of games as a batting team when your chasing such a high total dictates the way players will go out and play.

Out of all the teams, Loughborough Lightning have got the players who can chase this total down.

I don't think we should write them off just yet.

Despite Lizelle Lee's onslaught during the Surrey Stars innings, only Smriti Mandhana has hit more Women's Super League Sixes this summer than Sophie Devine.

What can the New Zealander produce in Loughborough's reply? It may have to be something special if they are to get close to their target.

What about that innings by Lizelle Lee?

Phenomenal ball-striking by the Surrey Stars opener, and they surely are favourites to win this trophy now.

Only Western Storm, who made 185-4 in a group game, have scored more this season than the 184 Loughborough Lightning need.

Mind you, they have a big hitter in their side too....

  20. Surrey set Loughborough 184 to winpublished at 17:26 British Summer Time 27 August 2018

Surrey Stars 183-4 (20 overs) v Loughborough Lightning

That innings was all about Lizelle Lee for Surrey Stars.

Her 104 came off just 58 balls and included 13 fours and six sixes. Nat Sciver was there in support with 40 off 31 balls as she and Lee put on 111 for the third wicket.

It's a mammoth total for Loughborough to chase, but they do possess some in-form batters in their line-up.

Paul Grunill will take you through that run-chase in the next few minutes....
