    Surrey Stars 57-2

Break in play at the start of the eighth over as Sophie Devine takes a painful blow to her wrist from a Nat Sciver cover drive.

On comes the physio to hand out the treatment for her with plenty of strapping. Looks like she'll be OK to continue.

  2. dropped catch

Lee dropped on 37published at 7 overs

    Surrey Stars 57-2

Chance goes begging for Loughborough to take the big wicket of Lizelle Lee.

Georgia Adams nearly clings on to a chance on the long-off rope as she comes running around at pace.

But Adams can't cling on despite two or three attempts and spills it over the rope for Lee's fourth six.

  3. 6 runs

Six again from Lee!published at 6.3 overs

That was a brilliant catch by Rachel Haynes who is probably one of the better fielders in the competition and around the world. She judged it really well - there is a bit of a breeze here so she had to dive last minute.

  5. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 5.5 overs

    Taylor c Haynes b Elwiss 5 (Surrey Stars 44-2)

Loughborough skipper Georgia Elwiss brings herself on to bowl as she tries to haul back this Surrey fast start and it's done the trick with the wicket of Sarah Taylor!

Taylor tries the slog sweep off her England team-mate down to deep square leg, but Rachael Haynes comes sprinting in to take a fine two-handed catch just off the ground.

Another vital wicket for Lightning just before the end of the Powerplay.

  6. 6 runs

Surrey Stars 40-1published at 5 overs

    Lee 31, Taylor 1

Linsey Smith into her second over and this time she receives the Lizelle Lee treatment with another big six down the ground.

That one was a handsome distance over the rope straight over the bowler's head.

Lee already up to 31 off 19 balls.

  7. Surrey Stars 33-1published at 4 overs

    Lee 25, Taylor 0

Lizelle Lee is on the charge.

Sophie Devine's getting the treatment this time from the South African in her second over and it's cost her 17 with four fours from Lee all around the park.

Sarah Taylor is an interested spectator at the other end having yet to face a ball.

  8. 'Smith struggled against Devine last time'published at 16:17 British Summer Time 27 August 2018

    Lydia Greenway
Ex-England batter on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra

When these two teams last met Bryony Smith struggled against against Sophie Devine. Devine kept bowling bouncer after bouncer and Smith really struggled, so I just wonder if Loughborough are trying to take something from that.

  10. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 3 overs

Smith run out 2 (Surrey Stars 16-1)

First wicket of the final and it's some superb fielding by Loughborough that's done for Bryony Smith.

Wicketkeeper Amy Jones is "lightning" with the gloves as she whips off the bails from the throw close in.

Smith is short of her ground as she fails to run her bat in and Linsey Smith's first over has brought the breakthrough.
