  1. Stumps at Bristolpublished at 18:14 British Summer Time 5 September 2018

    Gloucestershire 296 v Middlesex 182-7

It's the end of day two in the West Country.

Middlesex have lost late wickets, including Dawid Malan for 62, to leave the hosts on top.

  2. Postpublished at 18:13 British Summer Time 5 September 2018

    Worcs 56-5 (target 248)

Joe Clarke is still fighting for Worcestershire.

The England Lions batsman is up to 26 and looking in decent nick.

He's enjoyed another good season in a Pears shirt - averaging a shade over 40 with three centuries.

  3. Postpublished at 18:06 British Summer Time 5 September 2018

    Worcs 43-5 (target 248)

Defeat for bottom side Worcestershire here would leave them in real danger of relegation.

With seventh-placed Yorkshire likely to get a fair few points out of their game at Notts and Hampshire closing in on victory at New Road, they could be 15 or so points adrift.

Oh, and their next game is against Surrey.

    Cox c Alsop b Edwards 4 (Worcs 41-5, target 248)

Fidel Edwards strikes in his first over!

It's a ball that keeps a bit low and Ben Cox snicks it behind.

Worcestershire are faltering quickly. They still need more than 200 to win.

  5. Postpublished at 17:50 British Summer Time 5 September 2018

    Worcs 37-4 (target 248)

Dale Steyn is replaced in the Hampshire attack by Ian Holland.

Steyn's spell saw him bowl six overs and take 2-7. Good bowler is Dale.

  6. Emotions run high at Tauntonpublished at 17:43 British Summer Time 5 September 2018

    Result: Somerset tie with Lancashire

Jack Leach was the last man out with just a single needed earlier.

What mixed emotions the 27-year-old must have after taking 12 wickets in the match.

    D'Oliveira b Abbott 2 (Worcs 27-4, target 248)

Could Hampshire wrap this up today? There are still 15 overs to go at New Road.

  8. Stumps at Trent Bridgepublished at 17:37 British Summer Time 5 September 2018

    Notts 448 v Yorkshire 258-4

That's it for the day in Nottingham.

Gary Ballance's 104 has driven Yorkshire's innings, but they still have plenty of work to do to get on a par with the hosts' big first-innings total.

WICKETpublished at 17:32 British Summer Time 5 September 2018

    Milton b Steyn 7 (Worcs 24-3, target 248)

Dale Steyn is just too good for Worcestershire's batsmen.

It's unfair on Alex Milton really. Steyn bowls another perfect delivery, which just nips away and hits the off stump.

Not the sort of bowler you want to be facing as you try and build a county career!

    Worcs 24-2 (target 248)

Joe Clarke and Alex Milton have just settled things down for the Pears after those two quick wickets.

There are still 17 overs to go at New Road - I should have brought my pyjamas.
