Target 374
Good response by Moeen though, just one more from the over.

Good response by Moeen though, just one more from the over.
Here we go! Fakhar Zaman breaks up the mundanity by skipping down the pitch and launching Moeen Ali into the stands behind deep mid-wicket. Cracking shot.
This is pretty humdrum cricket after the exploits of Jos Buttler earlier. And even compared to Fakhar Zaman's hitting of a few overs ago.
Again Pakistan nudge it round to pick up six from the over in ones and twos.
England's bowling has looked a bit toothless so far.

Teams are getting scores of above 350 because it happens more often. They're used to it now. When I played one-day cricket there would have been blind panic and trying to hit a boundary every ball.
Fakhar put England's opening bowlers under pressure with hitting like this.
Tight again from Moeen Ali, save for a wide ball that Jos Buttler can't gather, thus conceding two wides.
England managing to dry up the boundaries in the last few overs.

In terms of average partnership by opening pairs, Jonny Bairstow and Jason Roy have just been overtaken by Imam-ul-Haq and Fakhar Zaman.
Imam and Fakhar average 61 per partnership. This is the ninth time they've passed 50 together.
Target 374
Solid enough start from Liam Plunkett, conceding two twos when he strays onto the pads. Five from the over in total.
So both Chris Woakes and David Willey get four fairly uninspiring overs each.
Liam Plunkett enters the fray...
Imam 28, Fakhar 32
And Moeen immediately offers England more control, conceding just four from the over.
Sure enough, Eoin Morgan turns to spin early on.
Here comes Moeen Ali into the attack...

Re: Kohli and Buttler. You have to take into account the fact that Kohli bats at three. Jos often comes in at five or six and has the last 10-15 overs to score. There's no doubt that he's by far the best in the world at that. Pretty much need to hit and go from ball one!
Mark from Newcastle.
Target 374
Wide from Willey and Imam cuts it away crisply for four more.
Jofra Archer is not playing today but is having a very good game so far.
A short ball from David Willey and Imam-ul-Haq swipes it very fine and away from the chasing Adil Rashid for four.
That's the 50 up for Pakistan.
It looks like Rashid and Moeen Ali will be vital for England today. The seamers are not threatening right now.
Woakes digs a slower ball into a length - wrong line, wrong length and Fakhar flicks it round the corner for four more.
Not a very impressive start from England's bowlers but tremendous work from Fakhar.

That was a real stand and deliver shot. A real free, full swing of the bat. He almost swung himself off his feet.
Fakhar Zaman golf swings his bat through the line of the ball and wallops it over the long-on boundary for six. Tremendous strike.

Really can't understand why it isn't standard to call Buttler the best one day player in the world. Yes Kohli is great, but in terms of strike rate and X factor, Jos wins every day.
Josh from Bristol.
Ben Stokes didn't get a bat but makes an impact in the field with a brilliant chase and stop to prevent Fakhar Zaman's pull going for four. Pakistan scamper three instead.

Some good intent by Pakistan. If it's there to be hit, they're hitting it.
