  1. drinks break

    Pak 122-1published at 19 overs

Fakhar Zaman very nearly chops on as Moeen Ali darts one in from round the wicket.

Six from the over as Pakistan keep it ticking along quite nicely. They'll need to accelerate before too long to chase down 374, mind.

    Time for a drink.

  2. Pak 116-1published at 18 overs

    Target 374

No bad ball from Adil Rashid that give up a boundary. But Fakhar and Babar nudge and nurdle into the gaps adeptly and pick up seven from the over.

You could tell Fakhar had decided to do that almost as Moeen was starting his run up.

  4. 6 runs

    Pak 109-1published at 17 overs

Well that was a good over from Moeen Ali until Fakhar Zaman slog sweeps the last ball deep into the stands.

Zaman on a mission. Belting strike, that.

  5. Pak 103-1published at 16.5 overs

Babar Azam skips down the pitch, trying to work to leg but Moeen Ali has pulled it back a tad and gets it through onto the pads.

Brief appeal for lbw but nothing doing.

The required rate is already above eight an over. It just shows you can't have too many dot ball overs.

  7. Pak 97-0published at 16 overs

Nice flight and drift from Adil Rashid and Fakhar Zaman can't get him away with the reverse sweep.

    Just three from the over.

Considering this is Moeen's first game back, he looks like he's not been away. He's settled right into his length and rhythm. He's bowling beautifully.

Babar Azam clips through square leg for a single to get off the mark.

The ball just stuck in the wicket. It's an easy catch for Moeen. Imam will be disappointed with that, these two had a great start. From a Pakistan point of view, you'd see Imam as someone who anchored the innings and be there in the last 10.

That's a soft dismissal for Imam-ul-Haq. He got onto the back foot and lobbed the ball up into the air.

  12. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 14.2 overs

    Imam-ul-Haq c & b Moeen 35 (Pak 92-1)

Moeen Ali makes the breakthrough for England!

Imam-ul-Haq tries to work a full ball to the leg side but chips it up off a leading edge.

Moeen shifts to his right and tumbles forward as he completes a decent catch.

England will be relieved to split up Pakistan's fine opening pair but new man Babar Azam is an excellent white-ball batsman too.

It would be difficult to leave Woakes out. He's not had the best start to the year but he's had a couple of niggles that have kept him out as well. You need game time to get the rhythm back, there's no other way of doing it other than being out in the middle and being put under that pressure.

Chris Woakes has struggled this year - in 2017 and 2018 he bowled 23 times in the opening 10 overs and took 24 wickets at an average of 17 with an economy rate of four.

In 2019, Woakes has bowled five times in the opening 10 overs and taken two wickets at 173, conceding runs at 7.5 per over.

  15. Pak 91-0published at 14 overs

    Imam 35, Fakhar 52

Adil Rashid is on to take wickets and Eoin Morgan will not overly mind him conceding seven runs an over if he does.

No wickets so far but no overly loose balls either.

This is Fakhar Zaman's 13th score of 50 or more in one-day cricket, three of which he has turned into centuries.

  17. Pak 88-0published at 13.3 overs

Fakhar Zaman scampers two to bring up a superb fifty.

He needs to cash in and make this a big ton but he's looked in superb knick so far.
