  1. Pak 28-0published at 5 overs

Fakhar Zaman skips down the pitch and swipes it through mid-on for another four.

Chris Woakes rolled his fingers across it but Zaman was ready for the slower ball.

England's opening bowlers aren't troubling this Pakistan pair much so far.

If you're going to bowl a bumper, it has to be head high. Anything short on this pitch is easily dispatched.

That was technically perfect from Fakhar Zaman.

  4. Pak 24-0published at 4.4 overs

Short from Chris Woakes and Fakhar Zaman is ready for it, pulling expertly in front of square for four more.

  5. Pak 15-0published at 3.2 overs

Lovely stuff. Fakhar Zaman stands tall and punches down the ground for four. Classy timing.

David Wyatt: Watching Jos Buttler bat in one-day cricket when he's got his eye in is one of the best sights in world sport, hands down. It's like watching Messi glide past players, Federer play a passing shot and Tiger chipping in.

  7. Pak 10-0published at 3 overs

Good response from Woakes, only a further single from the over.

  8. Pak 9-0published at 2.3 overs

    Target 374

First four of the innings as Imam-ul-Haq skips down and smashes Chris Woakes over Eoin Morgan's jump at mid-off. Cracking strike.

If England are struggling to whittle down their battery of fast bowlers into the squad of 15, should David Willey's headband count against him?

That's where Willey is dangerous in these opening overs. If there is a little bit of movement, he will find it.

  11. Pak 5-0published at 2 overs

    Imam 3, Fakhar 1

Willey tries to straighten up but over-corrects and slings a wide down the leg side. The next curves wide of off.

He then finds the right line, drawing Imam-ul-Haq into the stroke and beating the outside edge.

  12. Pak 3-0published at 1.2 overs

Oooh. Swing for David Willey - more movement than Pakistan's seamers managed.

It's too wide though as Imam-ul-Haq leaves it alone.

Pressure on David Willey to perform today with Jofra Archer rested.

Buttler's innings was like when you used to play in your back garden with a tennis ball and send it in to next door's fence. He was just smashing it everywhere.

  15. Eng 3-0published at 1 over

Two more singles and then Fakhar Zaman's eyes light up as he tries to mash it over long-on. Swing and a miss. A wry smile from Chris Woakes.

Ooft. That's a peach. No big shot from Fakhar this time as he prods uncertainly at one from Woakes that is angled across.

  16. Pak 1-0published at 0.1 overs

    Target 374

Chris Woakes is onto the pads of the left-handed Imam-ul-Haq, who clips through mid-wicket for one to get off the mark.

Right then. Jos Buttler has some wicketkeeping to do.

And this is an important innings for England's bowlers as they fight for World Cup spots and try to reach the tournament in form.

Chris Woakes to open, Imam-ul-Haq to face, 374 needed. Here we go...
