If that was a direct hit I think Jonny would have been out, but Imad has missed the ball by miles.

Oh this is woeful from Imad Wasim, he knocked the stumps with his hands before the ball arrived.

    This will be not out...

Jonny Bairstow is calling for gloves, so he feels he's safe.

A mix up! And a run out?

Jason Roy sends Jonny Bairstow back and the Yorkshireman is really struggling.

The throw comes in and Imad Wasim makes a bit of a hash of it.

Did he break the stumps before the ball got there? Or was ball in hand? They're going to check upstairs..

Hasan Ali bangs it in very short and is called wide on height, with Sarfaraz Ahmed leaping impressively to cling on and prevent a boundary.

Otherwise a much tighter over from Hasan, just five from it.

It was a shot so extraordinary, I couldn't quite believe what I was seeing as I described it.

Tidy again from Imad Wasim, penning both batsmen back and conceding just two from the over.

  12. Eng 73-0published at 12 overs

    Roy 40, Bairstow 30

England have seen enough of Hasan Ali to be confident of attacking him now.

Jonny Bairstow whips through mid-wicket for three before Jason Roy rolls his wrists to swivel a pull shot to the fence.

Another four for Roy, albeit not convincing, as he tries to drive straight and inside edge past his stumps through fine leg.

A single to finish and that's an expensive over - 12 from it.

    Phil Tufnell
    Ex-England spinner on TMS

Imad's action is very tricky to pick up; he's a good one-day bowler. He skids it on to the batsman - you can't get down the pitch to him and if you go back to him, you have to be careful. He doesn't try to spin it.

  14. Eng 61-0published at 11 overs

Imad Wasim continues to pose problems for Jason Roy, who gets in a tangle following one down leg before getting an inside edge into his pads.

But Roy is finding solutions for one, clipping through the covers to get off strike before Jonny Bairstow

This is the 25th time Jason Roy and Jonny Bairstow have opened together and they have passed 50 13 times. They average 60.4 together, which is the highest in ODI history (of players who have batted together at least 20 times).

  19. Roy hits Faheem for sixpublished at 11:42 British Summer Time 11 May 2019

This is not the best six Jason Roy has hit today (we'll have the clip of that through soon).

But it's still very, very good...

  20. Eng 52-0published at 9 overs

Jason Roy tries and fails to work Imad Wasim through the off side so changes tack and clips to leg.

It's a risky single but Roy is just about home as the throw whistles past the stumps.

Jonny Bairstow taps another single before Roy does the same. Good over by Imad - just three from it.
