The sun is out, the shades are on and Pakistan are making this interesting.

    Azam 41, Fakhar 111

That last boundary brought up the 100 partnership from 93 balls.

Stokes beats the bat with the last ball of the over as Babar Azam tries a cheeky late cut. There's a few words exchanged between Stokes and Fakhar at the end of the over.

Saim Naveed: It’s basically a T20 for Pakistan from the 30th over onwards. Fakhar the key.

  6. Pak 193-1published at 29.3 overs

Ben Stokes thwacks Babar Azam on the inner thigh, but the ball flies away and Babar is ably to jog a bye, albeit in slightly uncomfortable fashion.

Hello! Fakhar Zaman gets his front leg out of the way, eyes up a slower Stokes' ball and hoicks it over mid-on for four. Lovely stuff.

  7. Roy clatters into cameramanpublished at 17:34 British Summer Time 11 May 2019

Jason Roy did well to slip between steward and cameraman trying to stop a boundary a litytle earlier on.

  8. Pak 185-1published at 29 overs

    Target 374

Liam Plunkett persists with this short plot to Fakhar Zaman - everyone's had a go with it at this stage - and the result is much the same, Fakhar leisurely working a single away.

A hoick into the leg side ends the over.

  9. Pak 182-1published at 28.2 overs

A terrific tumbling stop from Moeen Ali on the boundary stops Babar Azam getting another square bounday, before Adil Rashid does more of the same at third man.

That's five runs from the first two balls. Eoin Morgan is coming in for a mid-over natter with his bowler.

    Need 199 runs to win

A smattering of singles ends the over.

  12. Pak 174-1published at 27.4 overs

Short from Ben Stokes and Babar Azam clatters it away in rather ungainly fashion for one.

Ooft! Babar absolutely times the pants off a little flick off the legs, the ball tearing away behind square and beating the fielder on the boundary,

Ben Stokes, of course. Here he is.

Pakistan were looking for Fakhar to deliver and he has delivered - he's in great rhythm. But the job has just started. Pakistan need him to get 150 or 170.

    Pak 168-1

    And there it is!

This has been a superb knock from Fakhar Zaman; different from Jos Buttler's but just as aggressive in parts. He brings up three figures from 84 balls, with six fours and four sixes. It's been all about the timing.

I've always thought Pakistan's forte was their bowlers, but actually it could be that it's their batsman going into this World Cup...

  17. Pak 166-1published at 26.4 overs

Down the pitch comes Fakhar Zaman, but Liam Plunkett sticks out a hand and stops the ball in his follow-through.

Oh, there's no stopping that one though! Fakhar angles his bat, gives himself a bit of room and clobbers a short ball over cow corner for four. That takes him to 98.

Babar is settling in and when the needs arrives to up the ante, he will be able to do that. If India were in this position now, I'd back them to win. But it's different with Pakistan's batting...

  19. Pak 160-1published at 26 overs

Need 214 runs from 144 balls

David Willey will continue, Fakhar Zaman swatting away a short ball for a leisurely single, but as Mystic Stephan predicted, this is too straight from Willey.

Pakistan can prod and poke their way through this over, with a smattering of singles pushing their total along.

Pakistan have scored only a quarter of their runs on the off side. Have England bowled too straight?
