    Imam 71, Sarfarz 23

Stokes is going at eight-and-half an over here. A few of you are suggesting his place is under threat. Personally, I'd definitely have him in the team but I take your point. He hasn't put in a match-defining performance for a while.

  2. Pak 155-3published at 25.5 overs

Four more. Stokes shakes his head.

Imam has got one up on England's all-rounder here. This one isn't a great delivery - too leg side.

  3. Pak 149-3published at 25.2 overs

Thwack. Wickets have fallen around him but opener Imam-ul-Haq is going well. He has heaved Ben Stokes down the ground for four here.

Stokes is not too pleased as I'm sure you can imagine.

Thanks Amy. Hi everyone. It's been a while.

It has been an even start. Here are the wickets to fall so far...

Right, that's me done for a bit.

Matt Henry will take you through the business end of proceedings.

  6. Pak 142-3published at 25 overs

Hands on hips from Tom Curran as he's run away by Sarfaraz for yet another single square of the wicket.

Oh, hello! Out of absolutely nowhere, Sarfaraz gets his front foot out of the way and clobbers Curran for a one-bounce four.

Pakistan need at least 300 here because it is such a good pitch.

  8. Pak 135-3published at 24 overs

    Imam 57, Sarfaraz 17

An eventful Ben Stokes over ends with a single through mid-wicket.

Meanwhile, some news from the Pakistan camp - Shadab Khan has passed his latest medical test and is expected to be fit for the World Cup, which starts in 16 days' time.

  9. Pak 134-3published at 23.5 overs

    Whoops.

And at the opposite end of the scale, Eoin Morgan needlessly shies at the stumps, the ball deflects off Jonny Bairstow's pads, and Pakistan jog an overthrow.

That is brilliant fielding, incredible, from David Willey.

To get that power of throw while off balance is special and hugely impressive.

  12. Pak 132-3published at 23.3 overs

A half-hearted appeal for a run out, as Imam-ul-Haq is called through for a risky single, but he is clearly in as Eoin Morgan deflects Joe Root's throw onto the stumps.

A terrific cut from Imam looks to be going for four but a brilliant piece of fielding from David Willey, throwing himself to his right to gather the ball before sliding, spinning around and pinging the ball back towards the stumps, stops that. In fact, it's such a good throw from Willey that Imam has to dive to make his ground.

  14. Pak 127-3published at 23 overs

    Imam 52, Sarfaraz 16

The TV comms are discussing cricketers who wore glasses during their career, in honour of Imam-ul-Haq.

Daniel Vettori will always be the number one in that category in my eyes.

  15. Pak 124-3published at 22.1 overs

Big shout for lbw from Tom Curran as he raps Sarfaraz Ahmed on the pad - but was that just sneaking down the leg side?

Eoin Morgan jogs in for a chat with bowler and keeper, and they decide not to review. It hit Sarfaraz flush on the knee roll and it would indeed have missed leg stump.

Some nifty footwork from Tom Curran here to dismiss the dangerous Haris Sohail.

A single ends this latest Ben Stokes over.

Imam is the glue Pakistan are batting around - they need somebody who the rest can play around, and he's got to 50 in no time really.

  19. Pak 123-3published at 21.4 overs

Moeen Ali gets a round of applause from Ben Stokes as he comes speeding around the boundary edge to stop Imam-ul-Haq pulling his way to a boundary.

And that'll be 50 for opener Imam, a delicate dab through the off side taking him to a 55-ball half-century.

Sarfaraz is a bit tricky. He has played a couple down to third man already. It might be worth England taking mid-wicket out and having a floating slip to try and stop him playing this shot.
